I can't add much, except prayer and hope that she is found alive... Can't the FBI track her phone and trace its last coordinates?

Something seems off here and I think Aniah's "friend" knows more than she's telling. Just my gut feeling FWIW.

"A social media message sent by Blanchard to her roommate indicated she might have been with a male before she disappeared, Harris said."

So Aniah messaged her friend on social media saying she might be with some dude. Who's the dude? Surely they've questioned him and gotten DNA and what not right? Girls tell EVERYTHING to their friends. They don't keep stuff to themselves. Her friend and this "male" know something without a doubt. Sounds like they are keeping quiet because they don't want to be charged. On top of that, her car is found 55 miles away in Montgomery, AL damaged and there's evidence of "harm and foul play" in the vehicle. With the amount of security cameras literally EVERYWHERE, highways, stop lights, private businesses, gas stations, there's gotta be SOMETHING on video somewhere of someone possibly driving her car or someone in the car. Montgomery is the capital of Alabama. A city of 200,000+ people. There's gotta be camera footage of something somewhere. Fucking hell this is both frustrating and sad.

He used the same language the governor used. The intent was more to avoid people seeking reward for an arrest without conviction rather than looking for some loophole.

Sorry but this is really silly speculation. You really can’t envision a scenario in which a friend was told she might be going on a date but didn’t know the details? Cmon.

And also, you personally not being aware of a video being located, or a statement by any of these people to police, doesn’t mean that those things haven’t happened. Law enforcement doesn’t provide a play by play of the investigation for the personal satisfaction of people on the internet. It’s not fair or reasonable to make assumptions about who is and isn’t cooperating.
 
She could be alive. Remember that dude in Ohio who had 3 chicks kidnapped in his house for like a decade? Rare but it does happen. At this point if she was of her own free will she would have contacted someone.

I'm not, beyond just being sad for the girl and her family and wishing the story would end happily.

I got carried away with my post after reading an update, didn't mean to come off like an asshole.

exactly, and the news just broke of the foul play. Unfortunately dna testing, scanning security footage, interviews, etc... when you don’t have a hard lead and your following up on those “soft” leads, it takes time. It’s why one week after the car we’re just now learning about confirmed foul play. I’m sure we’ll get another update in about a week if she isn’t found.

It is every parent's nightmare ... as a parent I can't imagine the pain and anxiety they are going through.

reward money has already been authorized for information on Cupcake McKinney that led to the arrest of the alleged perps. One week later. So it can be effective.
 
Man, really hope his daughter is just going through some youth angst and decided to run away from home and will return in a week or so safe and sound.

Definitely keep up with the prayers, that always helps.

Between Birmingham and Montgomery is a whole lot of nothing. This could drag on forever if none of these people talk more(I'm thinking they probably have, police just aren't giving more than they have to).
