I almost soiled myself laughing when I heard the news. Unfortunately, the two Darwin Award winners' friends didn't see the funny side, and rioted.

Well, according to best practices in policing-u less you are chasing a violent felon, you don’t chase people on motorcycles/bikes because the risk of them getting killed is too great vs the reward for catching a traffic offender or a stolen scooter. Someone calling in a stolen scooter and then seeing the license plate? Probably not rocket science, they have cameras that scan automatically these days.
