Fact is, as long as blacks are disproportionately overrepresented in crime stats then my guess is that blacks will be disproportionately overrepresented in victim of police brutality stats. Cops don't write the laws that are designed to target blacks. People want to think that eugenic theory isn't something that could possibly still be impacting modern enlightened America, but I would disagree.

Looking at the clothing description of the guy in the video and the body on the street after the shooting I am fairly certain it's the same guy. Look at the shirt and especially the socks and footwear match. Not to mention the kid that was with Brown admitted they were in the store.

They aren't a monolithic entity, true. But they have a history of protecting their own via lying and planting evidence. Prosecutors in this country have a history of abusing the plea bargain and harsh mandatory sentencing. Judges in this country have been known to sell kids to private correctional facilities. So, people have a legitimate gripe that there is systemic abuses of power in the USA.

We are in dire need of prison reform in this country which is undeniably cruel and harsh. We, as a society, implicitly and in many cases explicitly condone state sanctioned torture and rape of inmates. We have more people in prison/jail than practically any other nation on earth.

It's an embarrassment.

Should people burn down their own communities? No. But it seems like the government only starts taking these sort of issues seriously when the message is with chaos.
