Ringside Heritage Bag Gloves HSBG w/pics

Seems from all the pics i saw that it appears to be like that. Blair did not say they were not really like that. Perhaps he can shed some light on it (if im correct can i have a pair for free : ) lol)

They seem to me to have the highest point in the middle like most gloves. It was probably just me shooting the picture at a downward 45 degree angle. Plus the weight of the gloves sink into the lounge a little bit which might have changed the angle.

Here's a shot from above at the gym on some tiles, it gives you a good view of the symmetry and how even they are. I think Darrin is spot on.

Hope this helps.

I still see tapering at the index finger instead of pinky and ring fingers, but its no big deal i just thought it was different, was wondering if it affected the punching at all, thanks for the reply. darrin you can still give me free gloves if you want lol

Has anyone else bought or used these gloves?

Also, if you're right on the edge of sizing, do you guys recommend going up or down?

Me. Nothing to write home about. At all. One can get Winning instead (about 50 bucks more), they are light years far in performance (and to be honest in quality too).

Large fit me well. In case you have normal man's hands L is the best choice. XL only in case your hands are huge. M might fit smaller hands but not necessarily. I would stay with L anyway (again, unless your hands are really very big).

Thanks for the reply. Can you recommend any good bag gloves that are more budget friendly than the winnings? My hands measured exactly 8.5" so I wasn't sure. thanks again.

Edit: I checked out some rivals this weekend and didn't like them at all. I have the Ringside IMF sparring glove with the elastic sleeve but I'd like something 14oz for bag work.

That's a bit difficult because personally I like Rival sparring gloves (RS1 or or RV2) on a bag.

I am not a big fan of IMF padding, prefer layered padding. Among the layered foams Winning is the best by far, second (in my opinion) is Rival RS-1 or RV-2 or so (in terms of padding I consider them better than Reyes/Grant). Cannot really recommend any other layered padding I am afraid, but some Fairtex models like BGV9 or BGV5 or the same but lace up are pretty good and reasonably priced. But still prefer Rival.

Among IMF padding Ringside is the best choice. Not because it is better than any other (like Darrin claims here), but because the rest isn't better than Ringside anyway.

I only had access to the rival RB1 and I found the thumb compartment too short which is weird as I have small/medium hands. I previously owned the RB2's but didn't care for them after a while.

Thanks for the input.

I recommended RS1, not RB1.
RS1 are actually sparring gloves, but they are great on bag. RV2 are the same, just velcro instead of laces.

I am not a big fan of Rival BAG gloves. But their sparring gloves (at least some of them) are great for everything.
