Ride on lawnmower question?

We just installed a new engine on our ride on lawnmower and wondering if any one has some advice on breaking the mofo in.

Engine : John Deere 500 cc 17.5

We installed it on a Husqvarna and that website has zero information about breaking in the engine.

Drive it to the city top speed and then find a couple hooker and top speed back.

Then pay them to work the tractor intermittently.

Wouldn't the engine break in be the same as if it was installed in a Deere? I don't see how that would affect breaking in the actual engine. It seems to be about run times and how hard to run it and for how long up to a certain mileage

Husqvarna didn’t manufacture the engine, John Deere did. Best to consult John Deere, they’ll probably have you run it for a certain amount of hours then change the oil. It’s a mower, it’s pretty limited scope of use.
