Riddick Bowe vs. Vitali Klitschko

A round robin tournament between Lennox, Bowe and Vitali would be sick

they're by far the top dogs of the 90s and Bowe vs Lewis would be potentially amazing

I'd take Big Daddy but in reality Lennox probably gets both of them. Lennox was fucking good

Holyfield beats Vitali in 1998.

well Holyfield lost x3 to Lewis and Bowe, and arguably lost x4 if you count the disgrace that was the first Lewis fight, and Vitali wasnt really anything special in the 90's

i would have been happy with a single Bowe-Lewis fight, but Newman and Bowe not so much....

I think Vitali takes it by UD. I know styles make fights but seeing how Bowe got handled by Golota I just don't see a huge problem here for Klitschko. Vitali used his size brilliantly, had a great chin, and good power.

Like the other guy said....you haven't actually watched this fight. Lewis looked great. So did Vitali. One of the best fights ive seenm. Both fighters ate huge shots. One of the uppercuts lewis landed on Vitali wouldve knocked out a horse. Didnt even faze Vitali.

You should watch the fight.....one of the best heavyweight battles ive seen. I think lewis retired after this fight.

Great fight but Lewis didn’t look great at all.

It’s the Golota fights that makes me fairly confident that vitali beats him

Lol what?

An uppercut hurts a lot worse than anything...at least a head shot. Well placed body shots are about 10x more painful than getting chinned with something clean.

You might not see guys using as finishers, but i promise, what relatively little first hand experience i can give you, get hit with one of those and you're not the same for the rest of that session whether it's sparring or the real mccoy....it sucks. It's different.

Uppercuts are fckin devastating when you can get enough leverage on them. But that’s not easy to do in a fight in my experience. Personally I’ve been hurt worse by straight rights/lefts than any uppercut, but I am 6ft 2 though so I’m not as susceptible to them. In all fairness I’ve eaten very few hard uppercuts, and I’m quite thankful for that

Bowe is probably the most overated HW i have ever seen, people like to remember him beating Holyfield the first time in a classic, but his whole career is based off of that win, and his wins against Hide, Donald and Gonzalez.

Awful resume

He was tons of fun, TBH. Size, very complete offensive skills, good workrate, porous defense. Very fun to watch.

Vitali would have dealt with Bowe fairly comfortably.

Bowe is known for throwing his title in the bin to avoid Lewis and gettting ass kicked twice by Golota. Bowe is lucky Golota was the only ex soviet union fighter he fought, he retired just before they were able to turn pro.

Vitali would have beaten him something like 8-4 on rounds, may be even KOd him in mid to later rounds. Bowe took a lot of shots, and eventually Vitali would have broken him.

Not sure why you UFC fans think that I haven't watched that fight multiple times, LOL.
Btw: An uppercut is rarely a KO punch, more of a wake up punch.

And clearly Lewis couldn't hurt anyone with one of his uppercuts
