This whole "controversy" is a testament to the power of media conditioning. You have all these "liberals" who loved this guy when he was taking steaming dumps all over Christianity, but they've been taught that they can't take any perceived insult to the religion of peace lying down.

If you actually read what he says, it seems more that he's posing a question. "Do I like the sound of church bells better than the Muslim call to prayer because of my cultural upbringing?" I mean it's a matter of subjective taste so it's something to think about and discuss. But no, "liberals" are about as sensitive to cases of perceived blasphemy to Islam as radical jihadis it seems.

You did conveniently leave out that part of his response was to say that Allahu Akhbar is the last thing you hear before the suicide bombs go off.

Is he wrong about his opinion? Of course not, it's his opinion. Is he saying these things in a way that stirs the pot. Of course he is. Are they wrong about him being an Islamophobe?

"Islamaphobia" is such a ridiculous word to begin with.

1. You are allowed to criticize ideas.
2. Islam/Muslims aren't a race
3. A lot of the ideas in Islam and not compatible with Western thinking

Just because billions of people believe in something doesn't make it immune from criticism. Islam says it's a crime to be gay and punishment can include death. Women aren't equal to men and must be covered or suffer jail, fine and death. Death is a valid punishment if you leave the religion. Jews and Christians are considered "demis" and must pay extra taxes and live as a lower class to Muslims.

If you live in Western society, you SHOULD be "Islamaphobic" to those ideas because they go against everything we have fought for with equal rights, freedom of speech and freedom of religion.

We have to stop confusing Muslims with Islam. They are two very different debates.

Church bells do not proclaim that Jesus is the god of the land and that there are no other gods besides him. The Muslim call to prayer is something totally different.

Barrera fought a Naz that didnt even train, Naz in his prime wouldve schooled him. Look at how soft he was in comparison to his other big fights. Also thats the ONLY blemish on his record. So he was still pretty great
