I would like some infomation.

Is eating large quantities of ric had for you?

just I'm eating rice for my lunch (Mexican or chinese), tea (egg fried) not plain whire or brown rice, but savory rices, just would like to know if thats bad for me as in not enough for energy and all and also weight lose.

Thanks for any advice.

Im a bit confused on this matter also. I hear everyone say you should eat whole grain brown rice and not white rice but I cant see much diffrence in them nutrition and calorie wise.

Yeah, I was just wondering if eating large amounts can be bad for you, just at the moment I'm eating boat loads of rice more so the savory rice.

This is what we like to call "thinking too much about inconsequential matters."

Eat the rice. Be happy.

I am happy thank you  , but just want to know if eatting to much is good or bad for weight lose.

Rice is a carb. Carbs eaten by themselves will give you a very quick insulin spike which is bad. If you add the right proportion of protein and fat to the rice you will have a nice long drop-off of insulin which is good. You can get away with eating a large batch of just rice on days that you train hard, but you will at minimum need a decent dose of protein after your workout. I hope this helps you out.

Only if they're high-glycemic carbs, which gets to the heart of the matter, because usually, brown rices are lower in glycemic index than white rices. Also brown rices tend to have more fiber (which contributes to an even lower glycemic load). This is why eating white rice, except after workouts, probably isn't the best idea, especially if you're losing weight. Brown rices also vary in nutrients offered; for example, while both plain, regular long grain white and brown rice are rich in manganese, the former is also rich in selenium while the latter is richer in folate.

Bottom line: Brown rice is a better overall food.

The problem is I can't answer your question. There are too many varieties of rice with just as many nutritional profiles. As long as it isn't fried, you're doing your body some good.

Wild rice is supposed to be one of the best for you...but for me Basmati is the king.

Thanks for the advice guys, I apprecaite it.
