Television Rewatching ‘Some’ Game of Thrones

Its genuinelly impressive how a couple of seasons turned GoT from the GOAT to has-been trash. Just a decade of excellence flushed down the toilet. We will not see failure on this scale again in our lifetimes.

It was inevitable the downfall. The source material wasn't there to finish it off with the same consistency as the previous seasons had. I wasn't surprise. It is what it is.

I dont think the show NEEDED Strong Belwas, as cool as he was.

The Lady Stoneheart thing really seems to be a very important plotline they just erradicated.

Never cared much for alot of the Dorne stuff, until Doran finally mobilizes for war. They built Areo Hotah to be a GOAT but he was jobbed out on the show like a can, that sucks.

But it doesnt make me shit all over the show, it's still very entertaining to me overall.

I agree

No way could they get everything and every character in the show but they didn’t even try to finish the series on a strong note

look at Rome, look at The Wheel Of Time, they left both those shows without an end. par for the course in today's TV show culture.
I didnt watch Wheel of Time, but I did watch Rome.

They ended Rome as best they could, but for Game of Thrones to end the way the books ended and never getting any more than that, would have caused rioting in the streets.

It's a first for a show to just overtake a book like that. Game of Thrones became bigger than anyone could have imagined.

They ended Rome as best they could, but for Game .
Rome is a weird one.

After season 1, they were given 4 more seasons. But right before season 2 went into production, they were cut down to only 1, so they had to cram in everything there.

However, the original ending was way weirder. It was supposed to end in Israel with Jesus being born. Hence that Jewish character Timeon.

I really wonder what the reaction would have been to Rome turning into a Jesus series in the last season. <lol>

@europe1
hahah you had to figure thats where they were headed, but to be honest, I liked the ending as it is. I thought it was brilliant.

I think you're way to hard on Sansa honestly. She had a horrible life pretty much the minute she left Winterfell and was treated like shit and used by everybody except Tyrion. She didn't trust Jon and who could blame her after the shit she's been through? Out of all the Starks on that show no one even comes close to having it as hard as she did. Even the red wedding is a better outcome than being tortured\raped by that psycho Ramsey every night.

Her spilling the secret about Jon turned out to be the right move because it only showed how crazy Danny is. That's not betraying family that's doing what's best for them because they are to naive to do what they need to do.

Jon is a naive child and was told he should wait and not attack Winterfell but he didn't want to listen and almost died because of it. Jon pretty much spends the whole show not listening to anyone and doing whatever he wants and almost dying (or dying) because of it. If it wasn't because of his plot armor he would have been one of the first Starks to die. I was surprised he even had the balls to kill Dany at the end of the show.
