rewatched Jiri fight (Reyes motionless for 150 seconds)

First off, amazing fight, probably even better the second time.

Second off... yeah, the body of Reyes didn't even twitch/move for at least 150 seconds. I didn't catch it the first time but rewatching it is insane. Even after the 150 seconds, the only reason he moved is because officials lifted him off the canvas. I can't post the video because I'm guessing that is against a rule, but at least I can post the reaction video the commentating team had:

Guessing Felder's reaction is because he saw what I saw... Reyes was not moving at all for a long time. If you get a chance to watch a feed where it doesn't cut away, watch the part after the KO where it pans to a wide shot to see what I'm talking about. The crazy part is his body is lifeless for at least another 90 seconds after the reaction video ends.

Post vid it's not against any rules wtf

Ha are you trying to trick me into getting yellow carded?

If it isn't against the rules then download the PPV off a torrent / upload the fight without edits to youtube / then link it to the thread. I'd be happy to thank you once you did that but I'll have you know that...<{danayeah}>

Ok Gus, but they don't happen often is my point. Watch the video if you got it... 2 minutes and 30 seconds after crashing head first Dom still hasn't moved an inch / only moves at that time because several officials drag his body up. If you can check out the vid you'll understand Felder's reaction better.

It happens but it is damn rare that it is that extreme. Not sure how long that TUF guy stayed down when Uriah Hill landed that kick but that was promoted as a murder caught on camera. Anyone know how long that was, without assistance from officials waking the guy up?

And if Jiri has done it literally twice in a row as @Tokoloko said... has that ever been done before? Again, these "super KO" situations are NOT common in any combat sport, period.

It was once upon a time. I doubt post-pot-farm Rumble is still holding that spot though.

Your first reaction when a guy sends multiple top-ranked and difficult-to-KO people lifeless to the canvas unable to move for several minutes like a corpse = that guy doesn't have heavy hands haha.

You're not gonna trick me into shitting on Jan because there's nothing at all to shit on, but yeah, the results of the Jiri KOs speak for themselves.
well since rumble just ko d stiff a very big guy who has never been ko ed before and only needed 1 punch to do so i think he s still up there

When Wanderlei kod Jardine I think it took him awhile to wake up

No, you are not going to "shit on Jan" because there is no way too objectively claim Jiri has more power in his hands when Jan knocked Reyes out using half as many strikes.

Jiri needed 71 strikes to accomplish what Jan did using 44 strikes.

Jan is clearly the more powerful striker, Jiri should change his name from Denisa to Pillow Hands.

It is pretty upsetting indeed. Imagine being his girlfriend or family.

how many kos does Jan have?

what about jiri?

Jan is a complete fighter, he has nearly as many submission as he does knockouts; so yes he does not have nearly as many as Jiri.

The majority of Jiris fights have been regional wins. Jiris first sixteen fights were against cans in regional Czech promotions.

Then he had his stint in his Rizin where he set the record for most wins against 5'8 LHWs. Jiri fought an opponent as big as him in Rizin one, maybe two times; he was just beating up on smaller guys.

Jan was immediately identified as a martial arts prodigy and signed to KSW after his first fight. So he has been fighting big polish guys and in the UFC for his entire career.

Dont compare Jan fighting word class competition to Jiri fighting in bars in the Czech Republic.

jiris power is underrated because his hands are usually low but thats how he pulls his opponents...theybwont see where the strike is coming from...elbows head kick etc etc...volkan was already dazed when jiri hit him with the punch...

Jiri is a beast but i am a big Reyes fan cuz of his proud mx usa heritage. I had him as the champ at 205 befor the Jan Blach loss. After this fight, i have newfound and much higher respect for the guy. He was hitting jiri with all he had and took huge punishment and never backed down.
Take note JJs.
U can be a great athlete AND a warrior

What a weird troll job. Props for at least being original posing as a defensive Jan-superfan + Jiri-hater. Original combo to troll with at least.

Yup, one of the clearest examples of a guy's stock going up despite suffering a vicious stoppage. I think it is unanimous that Reyes gained respect not only for his skill but also his heart in this fight. Respect!

you were saying Jan has better ko power than jiri which is silly. Which is what I quoted.

how many kos did Jan have in “regional promotions then”. And how many do they have today.

Was Jan always known as a finisher or just in the last 3 years against middleweights.

I’m new to mma. And I’ve learned so much from you already.

Until Jiri can TKO guys by pushiing them at weigh ins, we need to chill with comparing him to the real heavy hitters.

Do you know that KSW is regional promotion as well? So Jan fought on regional promotion too? Also would love to mention that there is difference between KO and TKO and there is difference between broking nose and broking whole face. Dont be so mad bud, Rakic will get his title chance too, just little bit later..
