Reverse-engineering Archie Moore's cross-armed guard

Here he doesn't look THAT smooth (probably because the opponent is more experienced).

Who is his opponent ? Looks very solid as well - good movement, fast jab, not robotic ... Nice style.

That was before he started with John and I. The opponent is Anthony Lenk, at the time he was a 12-1 prospect whose only loss was a decision to still undefeated Jesse Vargas. Also trained by John.

I've always been a fan of "acts of men are better than acts of gods".

Of course, someone can stand in the ring and thank Communism and the Tooth Fairy for their victory, as long as they put in the work and have the skill.
 
If someone is going to use Gods in that context, then the acts of men certainly arent greater than them. Its a paradoxical statement.
 
I don't recommend doing something like this but this is a pretty cool thread.
