I rewatched another one, I think my problem was he was calling it “pro doom” and not playing by the rules of most “doom challenges”
Ie Pistol Start every level 100%

But I swear I was watching one of his, and he said it was on ultra violence so he said and the demons were too slow and not enough.

But it might have been someone else’s.

If he dies he pistol starts. He didn’t do that for Plutonia though because it’s absurdly hard even fully armed.

Sorry to burst your bubble, go rewatch his vids. It’s easy to see if you are a serious doom player.

E4 m1, he starts with a shotgun right off the bat in his first seconds of the 2nd vid. And uses cheats a bunch.

Very nice Clippy. I didn’t even know you were a doom player.

That’s one of my favorite maps. Haven’t played it as much as I should and haven’t in a while but it’s a good one.

You’ve got pretty good skills there and know some of the tactics that a lot of serious players use for that map.

I take it you’ve watched some walkthroughs on it before , at certain times I can see the walkthrough follow step by step

But that’s because it the right way to do it!

There used to be “challenges “ for that map back in the day.
Pistol start as you did.
No bfg grab and no telefrag (i didn’t watch the hole thing to see if you did )
And no winterfeld jump.

I added one of my own, the “stand your ground”
From the start don’t run off from the beginning, stand and fight until you kill them all.

Now there isn’t enough ammo to just fire away non stop and do it. You have to move a lot and make some infighting happen right off the bat.

It’s fuggin hard. I think it took me the better part of an afternoon on attempts at that one.

But yeah I used to really play this a lot and now that I have recording tech am planning on finishing each level of DOOM 2 with a pistol start as well. I'm rusty and make so many mistakes and have a lot of luck on some of these lol

Yeah me too, I do a lot of things different also. But I’ve watched a ton of walkthroughs because I just like watching certain people’s ones for entertainment value.

I did the stand your ground challenge after finishing my 100% uv pistol start run on D2 last year. I was doing different challenges and made that one for my self out of boredom fearing the D3 run I was about to do(and never got around to finishing. ) I played like two levels and went to do the D2 challenges and never went back to D3.

D3 was soo good when it came out but it’s just not a doom game to me now, the way it plays. It’s like dead space older brother in play type to me.

So when I’m sitting around thinking I want to play doom, it never gets looked at.

Yeah I only really played it when In was new. And when I didn’t have a pc on x360. Until BFG edition came out on Xbox that had one and two on it. Then after finishing the hell episode went back to 1/2
