Restaurant kitchen horror stories

Anyone work at a restaurant? Anyone have any stories about how the cooks/ waiters messed with the food?

I'll go first. I used to work at Mc Donald's in San Francisco... Stonestown to be exact. Anyway, the preps used to take the hamburger buns and wipe the stove tops with them, and wipe the floors with them, before putting the sandwiches together. I couldn't believe it. Those stoves would be so shiny by the time they were finished. Working at Mc Donald's is so shitty, it makes you disgruntled

I've worked in the food service industry all my life, I got some stories that would make you never walk into a restaurant again. I've never done anything myself cause that's just fucked up and wrong but I've thrown plenty of people under the bus.

I won't even walk into a restaurant unless it's very high quality or I know people that work BOH cause I just fucking know what's going on back there.

I'll start thinking of some of the stuff.

Nobody cares. People will eat what they like the taste of. How it gets to them is of no concern.

People who did that would be borderline psychopaths.
So you can't believe the scare stories that are told.
I'm sure some are true, but I guarentee 99% of workers in these places just do their job and get on with it normally like anyone else does.

not food prepration, but i was in a fried chicken takeaway once, when a gang of youths weilding baseball bats and machete's hid in the kitchen to try and escape the police.

When I was 12, my dad was being a dick to the server at McD's so I wound up with a legit loogie in my burger. It was f'n nasty.

2 years later, I worked there and some girl asked for extra mayo on her McChicken so I gave her 15 shots out of the mayo gun (opposed to 2) because I thought it was funny.

I don't know if you're American or not as you've got some hilarious thing down instead of your hometown on your profile.
But if you are, an American criticizing any other nations food is a bit funny seeing as 'heart attack on every plate' is what the vast majority of the world view American cuisine as.

Plus, you saying the food is shit in England doesn't bother me, as i'm not patriotic and couldn't care less what you think of the country I was born in

I knew this guy, he was a jackass. He worked at Taco Del Mar and during his last few weeks there he jerked off into this emptied out relish jar as many times as he possibly could every day until on the last day he emptied it into the sour cream. I know it's true because he showed the half full jar to our group of friends and opened it up and tried to get this one kid that we would give a hard time to smell it. He kept shoving it his face. I would have stood up for the guy and decked him but I didn't want to chance getting any on me.

I hope that son a bitch gets whats coming to him, still to this day I have a hard time ordering mexican.
