Multiplat Resident Evil: Requiem Disc **NEXT FRIDAY

I just started playing Resident Evil 2 remake and I beat it today. Both runs.

Currently playing RE3 which I have never played and I also bought RE4 which i never have played. I've been told 4 is one of the best RE games. Which should I play after 4? I was told 7 is great too and thats it. Any suggestions?

RE2 is definitely in my favourite games of all time.
Yes, after 4 you should play 7 and then Village. Once you finish those you can just wait for Requiem

RE5 is a lot of fun if you have a friend to play with you. 6 is a miss for most. 7 & 8 are both great IMO, and should be played in order. They're first person POV rather than over the shoulder like the others. I haven't tried their VR versions but that would be the most immersive way to play them.

To this day RE7 remains one of the most entertaining surprises of my gaming life. I didn't play it when it first came out because I just tuned it out. RE 5 and 6 were so disappointing to me that I just didn't care. And the preview I did see of VII looked like it was just a lame ripoff of Texas Chainsaw Massacre.

I think it was on sale or something so I just picked it up and I have to say the first level, the house, is one of the most brilliant showcases of level design. And the way it very subtly shifts from a Amnesia TDD into something where you're like "Oh this is Resident Evil" was genius. I didn't even believe it was deliberate until I saw interviews with the devs talking about it.

I was disappointed with VIII but VII was so good, I am never ever ignoring a RE game again. I will be watching this very carefully.

Started playing 7 again after all the requiem news came out. 7 until the ship is simply goat material and I prefer to play RE games in first person going forward even though the remakes are great as well.

Resident Evil Revelations

Personally, I already know I’ll be getting this and even if it’s extremely early on, I’m good with looking at any more footage. I’ll check out the demo though as they usually change things around quite a bit.

Yeah there’s really no reason to watch more stuff if you know you’re going to get it. I stopped watching silent hill f trailers for that reason. Horror needs to be immersive and I think gameplay is more spoilery for that genre than most others due to them being somewhat reliant on surprises.

I just want to know if this is the entirety of the gameplay style or is the rumors of leon in a more classic gameplay style true ?

Grace in first person and Leon in third person seems to be the way to go imo. Great trailer. Love the humor from Leon at the end.

as an OG fan, i feel like the newer games kinda miss the mark.

not really down for first person RE.

wish they would just keep it with pre-rendered back grounds and cinematic angles again.

the creepy cabin family, the werewolf village, i dont know doesn't feel very RE to me.

even the remakes, the originals are far better in every way. the graphics are good, but the feel is off. RE4 remake is def the best remake out of all of them, but it's not a 10/10 to me.

Getting tired of Leon and Chris being in everything. You can count on Chris being in RE10. Also whats with Leon still rocking that teenage boy haircut lol

It’s not first person. You can choose

Media outlets got to play the first three hours. I have been avoiding footage but I did see some screenshots. It looks like everything they’ve shown in the trailers is from this part of the early game. We still have like 12 hours or so without any idea as to what locations, enemies there will be. Now is definitely the best time to go dark as everything else shown from here on out will most likely be after the first three hour mark. Everything seems thrilled about their experience so far. 2026 is the year of Capcom
