I know running is good for cardio but i find it boring... will replacing running with the insanity program give me tje same results or better?

It'll probably give you a more developed upper body but as far as cardiovascular benefit and calories burned it really depends on how long and hard you run and how long the Insanity workouts are.

what is this insanity program you speak of?
curious newbie inquiring

The insanity workouts are 45min-1hr long and you double the work out on the 2nd month...

It's interval training with bodyweight exercises. But instead of doing "traditional interval training" where you go 100% for a few seconds with longer rest periods in between, he FLIPPED IT UPSIDE DOWN, and has you go 100% for longer periods with only a few seconds of rest in between. He calls it "Max Interval Training!" Apparently by working out at 100% intensity for 40 minutes per day you can get a year's worth of results in only two months!!

lol, I thought about doing this when I go out to the bleacher... I see myself falling down the stairs or legs giving out and my face eating some steel step! lol...

Eliminate the rest. Go 100% all the time, nonstop. Achieve results mortals only dare dream of.

Don't you need alot of accesories for this stuff?

There are infomercials all the time with Insanity:

Does it work? Of course it does. Anyone who's ever did running in place or jumping squats knows you can get a good workout like that. I'm just curious as to how they build up their back and biceps since they never show anything using pulling muscles.

One of those things is a broad human activity that can be done a million different ways for different training effects, the other one is a specific(dumb) program.

Kind of apples and oranges...how were you running before?

I did this for wrestling to give my knees and feet a break (instead of running to lose weight). If you need to lose water weight this is the shit lol. Is it gonna make you a super athlete with cardio for days? No. Sure helped me in a couple situations where I didn't have much time to make a weight.

All this interval stuff is for pussies, just go 100% all the time and rest when you're dead.
