Anyone agree? Both coming off of losses, both recognisable names. Losing to Conor and then Frankie kind of leaves Chad out in the cold but I thought with Barao coming to 145 it would make sense to have Chad welcome him to the division.

I agree. The whole "best fighting the best" motto is good and all, but it has a real potential to shorten careers and derail contenders. I'm not saying that MMA should be like boxing (with 22-0 records being padded by journeymen fights, and champions refusing to fight each other due to management disputes). Featherweight is not as deep as LW or WW, but still has enough middle-of-the-road kind of dudes that could give both Chad and Barao a good rebound fight.

The winner of Barao vs. Stephens should fight Mendes. Either fight is awesome.
