Reminder: Conor Mcgregor has no ground game

Is that like how his cardio was going to be even better after spending $300,000 on it?

You mean the fight where he went nearly 30 mins in a sport he's never been in?? The fight where he threw 450 punches which was almost 200 more than he threw vs Nate in 5 rounds? Yah I would say that's improved.

I guess you're telling me that Conor working on his wrestling and grappling wont have any improvements?

Conor is the best striker in MMA history by a country mile

And one of the most underrated grapplers, great video TS
Better then..
135: Cody's boxing, TJ's standup?
145: Max's boxing, Zabit's standup?
155: Duffy's boxing, Barboza's standup?
170: Thompson, Till or Millender?
185: Whittaker, Adesanya or Gastelum?
205: Gus, Smith or Reyes?
HW: DC, Stipe or Volkov?

Conor has decent standup, better then avg boxing, a unique skill set.. but he doesn't have the best standup in MMA history by far imo. His ground game is not that good, though he does have good scrambling ability and an ok takedown defense imo.

Nate Diaz very well might be the worst MMA adapted wrestler in the history of ranked lightweights, of all time.

Seriously he is a horrible wrestler.

He took Conor down....... twice.

It’s amazing how pathetically delusional some people are when it comes to his skill set. It’s really funny quite frankly. Because when he fought Eddie all I read was that he was going to get grinded and grappled down and finished.. He completely and utterly humiliated Eddie.

Country mile better than TJ, Whittaker, Wonderboy and Till?

I respect TJ, but if that fight went down I would lay a huge bet on TJ getting knocked out in one or two rounds. Easily. Conor is that good on the feet..

A video where he's fighting lesser competition and showing his 1 suibmission over Dave Hill? Or where Nate just tries to pull him into his guard? Conor has decent takedown defense, but his grappling is suspect as fuck when he's on his back. He elbowed Mendes and that's about as good as he's ever looked.

He also ain't even close to being the best striker in MMA history. He ain't even Pele.

Hyperbole if I’ve ever seen/heard it. You can say a lot about his ground game but to say he has NO ground game....c’mon man. Just because he doesn’t use it doesn’t mean it’s not there. Using the Nate Diaz submission as proof, not saying you are, is being shortsighted. He was concussed before that submission. If Nate went out there and mauled him grappling that’s a different story, but we know that’s not what happened.

The fact Conor fought to hard to not fall into Nate's guard is proof enough Conor himself knows he can't him with him on the ground. Don't be stupid.

I'll side with the guy that says Conor is the best striker in MMA. He also has a serviceable but not great ground game. Guys hands are on point, great timing and precision as well. Hate his antics all you want, but Conor has an exceptionally elite skill set.

This explains why Conor fearlessly defended his titles against top contenders like Ferg, Lee, and the current champ.

Come on, don't troll. You don't like McGregor, fine. But the moderators really need to start enforcing logic and banning trolls on these threads.

YOU KNOW why he didn't defend his belt. He went and made nearly $100 million against Mayweather. I'd have to second guess ever fighting again if I made that much money from one fight. And I'd certainly want some time off.

And truth be told, McGregor probably got into drugs badly after fighting Mayweather. Imagine having nearly unlimited money for coke and hookers. McGregor's success was his own enemy, which is why he didn't defend his belt. You know this, so stop using his lack of defense as a means of attacking him.

I know one thing about Conor McGregor. He picks fighters that he thinks he can beat

Best striker in mma history ? Not sure if trolling or only watches Conor fights .
In the grand scheme, not far from the truth honestly..

Best boxer absolutely.

Best striker, up for debate..but I think he's very In the debate.

To anyone who knows striking that is

Hope Conor really believes this and gets in the cage with Khabib. Dana will have to scrape him off the bottom of the octagon after Khabib is done with him

Khabib is definitely a tricky opponent

but so is Conor to Khabib

It is a tough match for both fighters

Some of you guys are just extremely bad at any form of legit analysis. It's just all hate and bias fuelled, not based on logic, facts and actual fight IQ.

haters say no ground game but conor swept gracie black belt legend nate diaz, who was also three times bigger than conor

and conor dominated max holloway on the ground, who outgrappled bjj world champion jose aldo

I'm expecting him to fight Khabib before this year ends without question.

The bus incident was staged as well. It was designed to build up a potential fight with Khabib.

That said, I don't feel It has anything to do with fear..I think It has more to do with logistics and money. Over the last year. Prior to that It was the Floyd fight

I think people will see at some point that Nate at 185-190 pounds was one of his most If not his most difficult stylistic matchup. But, that will come In time.

Beyond that, I think most are extremely short sighted. There are levels of analysis.

He's not completely incompetent. People give him shit for the Nate loss, Nate was subbing black belt Kurt Pellegrino and a brown belt. Nate ain't no slouch

He spent $300,000 on his cardio for the Diaz rematch you ignoramus.

People forget Conor was fighting with a torn knee in the mendes fight.
