I just wanted to say a couple of things about kimbo slice. I first saw him on YouTube and thought that this guy was something special. He was scary. Not the best fighter. But he was menacing. He made himself on being a scary dude. Not having the best cardio or the best technique. He made millions of dollars off of the way he looked, in a sport where looks mean the least. I have to say I am truly sad to see kimbo go. And no matter how bad people shit on him before and or after his fights. It was always fun to anticipate kimbo's fight coming up next. I'll miss him truly. He was a true hustler.

I'm always gonna remember Kimbo for puttin' hands on guys in the street...he was and will always be the street king

for gettin his bread streetfighting and especially the build up to the Gannon fight more so than any part of his mma/boxing career - the mystique was great.

I have nothing but respect for what he accomplished. He always came out to bang and brought a show. And by all accounts, he was a chill dude and a family man. Sad as fuck to see another legend go.

Agreed. He was a good fighter with a marketable look and fighting style.

But what really stood out, was he was a very good person who's #1 priority was his family.

I'll always remember watching the heavyweights TUF and my opinion totally changed of him.

Aside from the Alexander fight, dude was always in entertaining fights. I'll never forget him knocking out Dada with the airflow from his punches.

Bursting Colossus's ear was an iconic moment on national television.

This icon of american MMA will be missed. I think I can say that on behalf of all the north american Ultimate Fighting fans.

RIP Kevin.

great video by Luke Thomas.

would love to see a documentary about Kimbo, a true rags to riches story.

man....watching this is tough, Kimbo was a good dude and you can see in his eyes he was appreciative of everything he had in life

During the Shamrock presser, Kimbo Slice is brewing tea. What kind of tea does the street certified king of the streets drink? Was he an Earl Grey man?

I was completely against him coming to MMA, with his background and all; my opinion had changed over the last few years. Regardless of what I thought of his extra curriculars, a man is gone and that sucks.

I thought he was a nice guy and I always wanted to see him fight in Japan under Pride Rules. I also thought he was going to do K-1 at one point he even did commentary at the K-1 Grand Prix. I think the one Alistair got beat by Hari if my memory serves me right.

I remember him from his fight MMA fight. I think it was elite xc. Kimbo went in for the takedown and Seth Petruzilli knocked him out with a knee. Elite xc then went bust.

Kimbo can be remembered along with Elite xc.

I remember having my opinion completely change when he went on Ultimate Fighter. He was smarter than anyone gave him credit for and knew he would wind up getting humiliated but was a man and did it anyway for his bread. I respect whatever he did past that point because he was willing to put it all on the line in a situation that was virtually unwinnable.

Still cannot believe that a Brock Lesnar versus Kimbo Slice fight never happened while both were active in the UFC. Newb vs Newb fight with crazy marketable personalities. Kinda like how Nate and Conor was. tHE marketable personalities part I mean.
Brock vs Kimbo is THE superfight that never was. like Fedor vs Randy Couture x100 imo.

Kimbo beating up dudes that they pulled off the street was always fun. The guy was an internet sensation, one of the first to make a living off the vids that were posted on social media like Youtube.

Kimbo was an original. We will never know how much his illness took from his ability to compete. You never heard him make any excuses. He was a class act and he will be missed.
