UFC 215 september 9, 2017.

Gavin Tucker vs Rick Glenn was scored 30-25, 30-24, 29-27. In one of the most brutal 3 rounders in UFC history, Tucker's face was quite literally destroyed. His jaw was broken in multiple places and both his orbitals were broken after that beatdown.

Gavin's statement following the loss:

"In victory say little. In defeat ....less.
ill keep it short and sweet. i lost on Saturday. stop blaming the ref for a bad call. that man let me go out on my shield. he visited while i was in the hospital and apologized. was him and i in that cage. I didnt stop fighting. he saw that. he should sleep easy.
I have four broken bones in my face. the first which started on the jaw in rd 1 and the fight went down for me from there. i have 2 fractured orbital and another vertical fracture in the jaw according to the x ray/CT scan. the heartbreak of losing hurts much worse. throughout the day i wiped alot of blood off my cheek and i can't say for sure there weren't some tears in there. I fought w blurred vision and 3 different Rick Glenns kicked the fuck out of me for the last two rds. (i tried to hit the one in the middle) congrats to my opponent. i hope you go far because i plan on seeing you again.
I fought my heart out. I'm a rare breed of straight savage and i don't need social media to tell me that. however...i am appreciative of all the support i received on here. which is why I'm writing this. I have no excuses and won't stand for anyone making them for me. that's not how the north folk get it done.
I have a great Family. a great team. and the greatest women. ill be twice the man for this.
thats it..... Tucker 2.0 is on the way
"

Tucker 2.0 did indeed arrive. He looked like a future contender vs Quarantillo. I know they are pro fighters but im still impressed how his brutal defeat never broke him mentally.

WAR Tucker

That fight was really surprising. Rick Glenn really isn't that great, and he came out and absolutely wrecked Tucker.

Its always that fight that I remember when I think about brutal beatdown in lower profil fights.

Such a savage beating but, maaaaan, does he look good now.

I remember when he fought Sicilia before the Glenn fight and I was so impressed. Happy to see where he is now.

Yeah I was at 215. Was expecting big things from Tucker after seeing how he handled Sam Sicilia. Glad to see he's back on track. Can't believe he came back from that Glenn beating to look better than before. Crazy when you think of what the second Lawler fight did to Rory's career.

I thought this was some anti Canadian shit by the title. But, I'm glad to see I was deceived. Very nice.

Wheres all the soy boys saying hur durr hur durr "took years off his life"........

Hes a great Canadian prospect for sure...but as i fellow countrymen his tattoos are confusing i dunno what im looking at or whats a separate tattoo and whats together...its got that prison tat vibe

I was impressed when I saw him handle the onslaught of Justin Jaymes.
He took a 2 year lay off, after that big loss. If he spent 2 years honing his craft it was well spent.

Maybe thats what other fighters need to do.
Taking short notice fights to improve their bank balance is basically gambling with your career.

LOL.

And, I raise you Chris Lee's 30-27 Gavin.

With the right judges, Gavin is GOAT.

Ronda wasn’t kidding when she said she could beat Cain under the right circumstances. It just so happens that those circumstances involve Adelaide Byrd and Cecil Peoples as the judges.

We call it “KO for Cain” Byrd calls it “30-26 Ronda #andnew”

Add in Chris Lee and Ronda wins 30-24.

Yeah props to Tucker for not letting such a beatdown ruin his progress, he did indeed look very good on the weekend.
