No he woudn't lol. Khabib would dominate him on teh ground, completely ragdoll him everywhere. He can grapple with Ferreira, but would look like a child in comparison. Khabib physically stronger and technically much better.

Khabib couldn't take down Tibau and he spent the entire fight trying.

Generally speaking, Khabib has fought average to below average grapplers, including JG who looked like cooked dog shit on the ground. Justin openly admits to not working on offensive wrestling or submissions. Guys like Michael Johnson and Conor are legitimately terrible on the ground.

The only guy his size (and bigger) he fought who is a solid MMA wrestler was Tibau. He got nothing done. Second to that would be RDA, who is a good-not-great MMA wrestler, but overall a good grappler. That was far and away Khabib's most impressive win.

Poirer is a average grappler. Go see him getting tapped out by Korean Zombie, and never securing the guillotine he's tried in every other fight with zero results.

Gillepsie has proven his MMA adapted wrestling repeatedly and just did it again tonight. People may not know much about Diego but he's a spectacular grappler and excellent fighter. His night ended in full back mount in the second round under Gregor.

I said RDA was the best win of Khabib's career and I'm interested in hearing you dispute it. That was his best win and its not even close.

Michael Johnson and Conor are terrible grapplers. That is not my opinion, that is a plain fact and their history of submission losses speak for themselves. Poirer is a competent grappler and was tapped out by Korean Zombie. JG openly claims he does not train offensive BJJ or wrestling. These are not controversial statements.

Khabib is without doubt the greatest lightweight of his generation, and arguably of all time. It's also true he was very inactive for the last third of his career, skipped entire years of fighting and fought once a year as champion. He also simply did not fight high level grapplers.

Gregor would unequivocally be the best MMA adapted wrestler Khabib faced, had they met. You are a not well versed in the context of their careers and the sport if you don't understand that.

I was actually surprised at how small Gillespie looked in this fight. Actually he looked a weight class smaller against Lee (who is also a huge LW) as well.

There are some really big guys at LW and Gillespie is going to struggle against them. Don't know if he could make 145 and stay healthy but imagine the killer he would be at that weight class. He'd toss Volk all over the place.
