perhaps get off the computer for 2 minutes all you do is go around crying and being a miserable bastard in every thread. get some fresh air. its not cool to be a cunt, nobody is impressedDo you know that even if I was around at the time I wouldn’t give a shit? How is this thread worthy 5ish years later? Wasn’t that UFC 200, or something? Do you realize we are now at UFC 265?
These kinds of threads rattle my brains as much as .. How good was ex-UFC champion X. He was a UFC champion. That probably means he was pretty good.
I’m sorry, but I just don’t get it.
He was Buddy Buddy with Uberreem at the time, whom was likely his source.
Haha Dana made him cry on the MMA Hour hahahDidn't Dana go ape shit?

Helwani is such an attention whore he had to be the belle of the ball. Hate Dana but this was just immature and pathetic for Ariel to do. He knew that had put a lot of effort in production for this reveal.
Leaking something that was going to be publicly reported in a few hours was not good reporting, it was an obvious dog move for publicity and nothing more. He deserved the hate for it.
You're making a very solid case for why we needs shills rather that reporters in MMA.A lot of people in this thread not understanding the difference between "leaking" and "reporting." There are perfectly reasonable reasons to dislike Ariel, but this isn't one of them. The guy got the scoop on a matchup and reported it, which any journalist would have done. Guys like Adrian Wojnarowski, Adam Shefter, and Tim Kurkjian literally have built careers on breaking news, and they're hailed as sports reporting icons. You would never see the the commissioners of the NBA, NFL, or MLB say anything negative about a reporter who breaks a story.
This is just an example of Dana and his megalomania. And the low-IQ mma fanbase blindly following his lead.

It boggles the mind that so many people have zero understanding of how reporting works. He wasn't a UFC employee; at this point, he wasn't even a FOX employee. Ergo, it wasn't a "leak." He broke the news. Period. Any suggestion that he shouldn't have broken the news without King Dana's blessing is utterly asinine. That's not how news works. And the fact that the UFC was going to make an announcement a few hours later doesn't actually affect the analysis; breaking news is often a matter of minutes, let alone hours. If it's properly sourced, you don't wait for someone else to reveal it. Again, that's asinine.
He had to know what would happen.
I actually think he should keep the buzz cut but keep long curly locks of hair on the sides. Would suit him well imo.when will ariel lose that buzzcut? it clearly doesn't fit his ugly face and pencil neck. He'd look better with some zoomer hairstyle
Are you telling me you are surprised that most MMA fans are idiots? Like you said, most of the MMA fans are low IQ idiots blindly following Dana White. And I agree with all of what you posted because there are other reasons why people may not like Ariel but for reporting a contract signing and a return? It wasn't like Ariel wrote an expose on all the dirty things Dana and the UFC have done but just reported that an MMA fighter will be returning to the UFC. Nothing more, nothing less and MMA fans are like "He deserves to get banned for telling us breaking news about one of the biggest PPV draws of all time returning to the UFC". It's akin to NFL fans and the NFL banning Shefter for reporting the Rodgers news months back, ridiculousA lot of people in this thread not understanding the difference between "leaking" and "reporting."
