Glover had hype because of his record pre UFC and he hit hard. Cool name helped.

Hype was a bit too strong, but not fully unwarranted. He's easily one of the best LHWs in the world.

Only fight he looked very bad in was against Phil Davis (who looked bad against Rashad).

Glover is one of the most gifted fighter at LHW...His issue is mental stiffness and training discipline...He has fights where he just seems to dominate so easily but just doesn't seem to want to finish, and fights where it seems he just lacks proper preparation and has just a few flashes of brilliance...

What are you saying? He's a joke because he didn't starch Jones? He has proven to be one of the best fighters in the world at his weight class and he fought for the belt, which would indicate that the hype was at least largely warranted unlike with, say, Kid Yammamoto or Hatsu Hioki.
