Remember Pre-USADA Alves?

USADA killed the sport. We need more of these monsters, not less.

He was a great win for GSP. He had insane take down defense back then. He was a killer.

How ignorant is this lol.He started going downhill a long time ago due to injuries, time off, thinned down for his new technical style/cardio,and after getting dominated by GSP he lost that killer instinct and got all technical, which hardly worked out for him.USADA haha ok,that was it..I guess he was getting ready for USADA 5 years before it started.

there used be a lot of Thiagos

now with the USADA there is less Thiagos.

the USADA must be a conspiracy against Thiagos.

I "seriously doubt" USADA has anything to do with that change!

I mean, c'mon..... it's obviously a natural decline with age. Or, no, a change in his training. He's training more for cardio now....

It’s the Law of Sherdog: “If a fighter has won at least one fight before 2012 and lost at least one fight after 2016, it’s because USADA”.

I have it on good authority (one of his coaches) that Alves weighed 203lbs when he stepped into the cage to fight GSP. That guy was a HUGE welterweight.

Pre USADA... I think it was more Prime Injured Alves. One of my favorites. Just don't see him getting back to the top. But them leg-kicks... Dang!!! ;)

** Pre Dolce Alves

Weight cuts hurt him before USADA

remember...

I like how he missed weight because he can't cardio due to an injured his ankle, but pulled a flying knee out of nowhere. Cheat ass motherfucker.

He was extremely inconsistent, not to mention oft-inactive, pre-USADA.

So unless you liked to yank and spank over his physique..nobody should care about the effect USADA has on Tiago Alves.

Funny how not long ago people used to think that was a natural look. "It's just good genes and hard work!!" Probably because everyone in the UFC looked that way from 1995 to 2010. Monster traps and insane size and shred. Now most of the fighters look like normal humans. Normal humans who work out like maniacs, but still normal humans rather than roid monsters.

Yeah, they all just "thinned down", for a "new style". Sure.
