Remember last time when Stipe was the underdog against Ngannou?

Make some money then. Honestly imo Ngannou's has regressed since the first Stipe fight. He relies on his power more now then before. As long as Stipe doesn't absorb too much damage early he should win.

If Stipe is smart he will do the exact same thing. From what we can see it doesn't look like Francis is working on his cardio, which was his main problem. All the videos of his training are weight lifting and boxing.

Well if Im being honest, its probably because he gets hurt or rocked in nearly every fight. Despite his toughness and durability, people tend to count him out.

That and he isn't really a specialist, he's good everywhere but not great in one specific area. I think that might play a role too..

I was gonna say the same thing. He's like the bisping of HW. Overachiever, finds a way to win, but doesnt really stand out in anything. Just racks up wins.

Ngannou hasn't really shown that his cardio and wrestling have improved. He has finished his fights quickly.

In a rematch, I think Stipe weathers the storm and then controls Ngannou, similar to last time. Maybe even gets a late TKO.

stipe had good gameplan and stuck with it, while its obvious ngannou underestimated him in the 1st fight

in 2nd ngannou puts him out in 1st

volkov and perhaps gane are the only true challenger for ngannou in top 10

There’s no question that the first sentence is correct. The issue is, how does he adjust? It’s not like he revamped his game after that. He just kept blowing people up (the Lewis fight notwithstanding). Is he gonna try to blitz Stipe right away (I still think he should), or is he going to cautious? The issue he has is that he’s never successfully been cautious.

how is it obvious Ngannou underestimated Stipe and what can Francis possibly do different? the only thing he can do is land a big punch and KO him, the same chance he had in the 1st fight. to me, it's all about Stipe on who wins this fight. if Stipe is still capable as he was in the 1st, he'll win, if he's not there's a better chance for Ngannou to land his 1 and only win condition.

actually he did make adjustments

in 1st fight he made a mistake of chasing after stipe.

all he gotta go is slowly corner him and with a smaller cage it would help him more

I dont care what year it is. Someone asked a question and I gave my response. Respond to the question yourself sweetie.
The real answer to the question is that sherbros tend to fall in love with flashy fighters and shit talkers, while quiet killers like Stipe, or Yan for example tend to fly under the radar and get underestimated.

Dont care for the shit talkers. I wont lie, flashy fighters catch my eye. The martial arts of mma left a long time ago(did it even exist?). I tend to watch fighters who just go in and try to put their opponent away. Im not a fan of "if the ko comes" type of fighters. Call me casual.

Thing is Stipe is on the decline and Francis has gotten better since they're last fight..

Except Stipe puts away almost every opponent, do you even watch his fights?

I must be getting old. I don't remember Stipe ever being a underdog again'st a one trick pony Ngannou. Damn dimentia is a helluva disease.

Just because Ngannou hasn't shown it, doesn't mean that those qualities haven't improved.

That's the scariest part. Ngannou could he just like he was im 2018, or he could have god-tier wrestling and cardio, and everything in between.
