Social Relocation to Venezuela

that's what I'm thinking, I've never been overseas or in another country. I wonder what it's like for americans, do they get shittalked? People typically just do not like outsiders. Or.., worse, they prey upon them.

But, wouldn't it be natural for americans to have some issues in Mexico and Venezuela? We aren't being very nice to their citizens, so, by the logic of do what someone does to you, or "what's good for you is good for me" I would think would follow.
My experience travelling as an Irish/British person is that people are almost universally friendly.

The only trouble I had was in the townships in South Africa and only really because of poverty and racism towards South African whites. I stress the Irish side and that sees me safe. I've known Americans and Brits to have some minor issues but usually that's because of brash loud or uncouth behaviour, obesity and sunburn.

I suppose, I never travelled and I have never had much faith in my fellow man. The stories about people who died in south america and had families extorted to get the body or stories of public figures being conned in bars buying drinks for women. I've read a rumor that Billy Blanks was confronted with that scam, somewhere in asia after saying he wouldn't pay hundreds for a drink, he paid according to the rumor. Malcolm X's grandson sounded like a victim in a similar scam, bought some Mexican girl a drink, refused to pay and got killed.

I've heard other stories about black people in china, being laughed at by kids and touched to see if the color is real but that's a lesser level of what I'm actually wondering about. i have an old trainer who does business in Asia and china particularly, he's a white guy and I wonder just how much shit he's got to put up with if any. he is an mma trainer who is a honcho in a fighting org but people seeing him on the street aren't going to know that. My old Muay Thai trainer once told me that he was in abu dhabi, training someone in the royal family, he was outside and took his shirt off in public and police charged at him and grilled him, he just said, "it's hot". His pals quelled the issue but those kinds of things can easily occur when people don't know the customs of where they are.

I dont see any homeless people on the streets of Venezuela,
at the same time U.S. ,Canada, Europe.... tent life streets with many people consuming heavy drugs in broad daylight..
why ?

Because the US, Canada, and Europe have gone down the drain too. They're second world countries, no doubt.

I like the Venezuelen women, but then I just go down to my local McDonalds and have my fix and I'm good 😊

Also if it doesnt work out Im sure theres plenty of rebuild jobs in Gaza coming ...... you'll love it - right on the beach.

Yeah you have to research the local customs, like not showing your feet in Thailand, or not holding your wife's hand in rural north Africa, nudity can be a real issue in places and all the rules can be more difficult for women often. Usually I learn a bit of the language before hand, just a handful of words and that goes a long long way.

Don't carry a bunch of money, have some back up money hidden. Don't keep going back to the same place if it's a bit wild a moving target is hard to hit. Know the prices of things, pay up front. Read the room. Wearing clothes that have the odd hole in doesn't hurt in some places.

I've never bought drinks for anyone and I stay away from tourist places. I've heard of people getting scammed too, but I don't go to those places where they're looking for those marks, I'm interested in the country, rather than fancy spots or strip joints etc.

I've been robbed in France, narrowly missed a terrorist attack in Tunisia and was tailed by secret police, had some sketchy moments in South Africa, some guys there just looked at me with hatred cos I was white and had a rental car I reckon, but that was in a very poor township and the history of whites there ain't great. They were kinda right in that I'm married to a woman from one of the awful white families there, but she ain't got nothing to do with them and is a saint.

I can't speak to the race thing, I'm big and white and that made me a celebrity in a lot of places I've gone in Asia and Africa, been followed by gangs of kids etc. The English get a little respect in some Asian countries because of the Victorian era it feels like.

Nowadays just ask Grok AI and it will tell you what is and isn't a good idea. I've found it amazing as of late.

Do big time baseball stars go back to live there after they make their pro baseball fortune?

Stupid idea. US invasion or not.

Venezuela is ruled by a dictatorship.

Venezuela has possibly the best looking women. But outside of that, with the whole government dictatorship thing and US relations, seems like a bad idea to move there.

Get a passport that is not from the USA and learn Español

What are your thoughts on this ?
It looks like a decent country to live in if you are on a western paycheck ?
Anyone been there, lived there , is it safe for a foreigner , are people friendly ?
After the past 5 years of fuck shit, have a plan A,B,C. I have never been there but I have done an absurd amount of travel. Sadly, most of my travel was before the pandemic shenanigans. Things changed since and not everywhere is ideal.

Do your own research. A buddy is doing a lot right now in South America. You want safety. You want clean. No clue how old you are? If you are older, make sure you are in good health, and have access/resourced to handle an emergency.

Stack paper. Go travel but explore in a manner of living vs tourist. There’s tons of places where your money will go farther and you can live good. The west is not as safe as it once was. The luxury of safety is disappearing and I would argue, a lot of government corruption in many countries should be investigated before making that leap.

A buddy was looking at a condo in South America. When you leave, you are to leave the deed to your property. For this reason, he opted out and found somewhere else to buy.

+1

Like, also note dictatorship, over corruption, crime, etc need to be investigated. A buddy is a digital nomad. Awkward af. Can’t get a coffee date. Over seas, he has better luck. He has been roughed up by cops and had bad experiences being naive.

Everywhere is corrupt. Which places are less corrupt? More safe?

They are gonna arrest you as a spy as soon as shit hits the fan man

I was in Caracas for a few weeks in the early 2000's. I would not have recommended going then let alone now.
