Reign of Fire (2002)

I liked it.

I'd like to hump that chick.

I mean, give her a bath first.

It was a flop but I loved it. And apparently a well-respected Hollywood director loves it as well. Joe Carnahan directed The Grey and Smoking Aces.

McConaughey was nuking futs in this flick.

One of my fav bad movies

It's a fun bad movie. It cracks me up that McConaughey mostly grunts and growls his way through it.

Don’t think it’s a “much maligned great movie” the likes of Waterworld or The 13th Warrior, but more a “best bad movies” like Independence Day or Face Off.

Love Reign of Fire. Watch it every time it comes on. Seen it probably 20 times. Another great movie from 2002 was The Time Machine starring Lieutenant Exley.

Reign of Fire was a fun "what if?" Kinda movie, I liked it.
I want that vest McConaughey wears, like a vest version of Banes coat.

Underrated. At the time, dragons in that sort of post apocalyptic setting was still a somehow original concept. Fun action movie.

Can movie producers sue video game makers for likeness stealing?

Liked the movie myself, two good actors Bale and McConaughey. I think Gerard Butler was in this movie as well. Bale’s like best friend in the movie until he gets engulfed by fire.

It’s actually one of my favorite films.
Very underrated imo

McConaughey was wrong for the role but it was pretty good.
I think he played that part perfectly??

Yes he was.

this was like their “jumping off movie “ to speak.
Both became way more popular after, but not because of it. Kinda strange but yeah he was in it too.

I like it too, it's one I watch every now and then.
I know it's not a great movie, but that doesn't stop me enjoying it

I don't know if this is the same thread I already mentioned in, but I got to see the set of the movie when living in Ireland, Castle/dragons etc. Also won ticketsto the Irish premier which was cool, everyone was there except Matthew Mac

I always loved McConaughey’s first scene talking about Coffeyville and killing the dragons

It could have been so much better but I still liked it due to the premise. One of those times when my inner nerd overruled objectivity. Izabella Scorupco was such a smoke show back then too.
