Kennedy knew what he was doing, if you notice he did it when he was blocking Big John's view of that hand, and I think Big John still saw it and was moving to make sure but wasn't close enough to step in and might not have been for sure. They showed the replay between the rounds and he likely saw it and gave Romero some rest, shady on both sides but I think it justifies the rest, instead of Romero taking the W from DQ, he could have easily thrown his shit like Kennedy did about the glove grab. Also the water was a non issue, he was no more slippery from the water than he was from his own sweat, everyone should know this.
