He is 39 years old and is an absolute freak of an athlete and a genetic anomaly. The way his torso, hips and especially neck/head area is not of a normal human being.

People seem to accuse him of acai use, and he most definitely uses. Just like everyone else.
If you really think Jacare, Rockhold, Henderson, Jones, Cormier or even Bisping is not using then you are a naive person. The difference here is just pure genetics.

Also, to address something regarding the whole Tim Kennedy fight

If you go back and watch the fight against Tim Kennedy, Yoel won round 1 and was winning all of round 2, Yoel was landing & Kennedy couldn't touch him, right up until Kennedy illegally grabbed inside Yoel's glove at the final seconds of round 2 to finally land some shots on him. Under no circumstances in unified rules is it allowed to grab inside the glove to get an unfair advantage and almost TKOing your opponent. Yoel wouldnt have been on the stool in the first place. If anyone cheated it was Tim.

rule #16, subsections D & G
http://www.ufc.com/discover/sport/rules-and-regulations

''If an injury sustained during competition as a result of an intentional foul, as determined by the referee, causes the injured contestant to beunable to continue at a subsequent point in the contest, the injured contestant shall win by technical decision, if he or she is ahead on the scorecards. If the injured contestant is even or behind on the score cards at the time of stoppage, the outcome of the bout shall be declared a technicaldraw.''

They usually let unintetinal things go, but this does not look unintentional to me

Yet, has a minute extra rest (while groin strikes get up to 5 minutes) comes back and finishes Kennedy who is one of the toughest guys to finish in the division

Romero has the most salty haters out of all fighters. They're a mixture of American patriotards who don't like Cuba, racists, SJWs and MMA purists who can't stand the fact that an A-level athlete tools their favorite technical fighters, confirming the long established truth that MMA is a sport for C-level athletes that can't handle A-level athleticism.

No other fighter got as much hate for "cheating", in fact it's not even named cheating when other fighters do it. Fighters constantly bend the rules, they grab the fence, eye poke (something Romero never did for example), grab the shorts of the opponent, grab the gloves, try to take time off any way possible, deliberately spitting out mouthguards (Bisping vs Anderson), turn their back against their opponents etc. yet besides Romero is labeled a "cheater" because of it, not even Jon Jones and Travis Browne. Machida got busted for over the counter thing, no one bitches about it, Frank Mir busted for steroids - no one cares. Cro Cop took steroids - no one cares. Hendo is a "legend" here yet was roided to the extent which is even hardly humanly possible for the most of his career. Vitor also gets much more love than Romero. Romero gets busted for tainted supplement, gets cleared and USADA had to practically apologize on their knees and yet he's a "cheater".

Agreed. Kennedy cheated and the ref fucked up by not giving Romero time to recover.
Kennedy deserved the beating he got in the 3rd round.

Yeahh... rite...

All cheaters, true...

Still, most people at ringside had Jacare winning 29-28 against ur guy.

With his winning march, he totally own me as a fan. Finishing Weidman that way he did too...

gif anyone....?

They both cheated with Tim clearly knowing and tried for sure to grab the glove. At least Yoels is up for debate with the language barrier. Yoel is an olympic athlete tho and im sure he has a great diversity of dirty tactics to help his style in a fight. Who knows? Odd respect for it from here if true.

I feel bad for white guys that don't cheat........yeah I said it

Can you mental midgets stop claiming that Yoel was cleared by USADA; he was given a 6 months suspension.

Whether he knowingly or not (you can't not know you are on ibutamoren) took the tainted sup he still got all of the benefits of it and the only reason he got just 6 months suspense is because he had a great PED specialist lawyer that gave them a reasonable doubt that t may have been inadvertent use.

He still took the drug and he stil got a 6months suspension, he was not cleared. He took PEDs and reaped the rewards of those PEDs.

Ibutamoren is the type of drug that will really help to build and maintain lean muscle mass by increasing your hgh and igf-1, this is an incredibly beneficial drug for a fighter with the type of style that Romero has but sure it could have been inadvertent, or it could have been a team mate that gave it him or a lawyer or who knows. He still was doped.

He was cleared of all charges against him and USADA had to practically beg on their knees for forgiveness after they got completely discredited.

In the end they figured out a deal where USADA can give him a 6 month suspension so that they can save face while Romero can fight in the 2nd half of the year so everyone wins (except the salty haters on Sherdog).

Yoel Romero was the only athlete in USADA history who got this type of deal so you can be sure he was completely innocent otherwise USADA wouldn't completely discredit themselves by giving him a pass and admitting the tainted supplement thing.

If you feel so strongly about this, why not post with your regular account instead of creating an account just for this thread?

I really like Romero, to bad he is so old and what we get now from him is his mma prime. And he was really funny with all of his adventures inside cage (poop, stool, gay jesus...and in last fight he pure water all over himself).
but that explosive aganist Machida and now Weidman, just wow.
I hope he becomes champ :=)

Innocent Romero destroyed Post USADA Non IV Weidman and should finally get a title shot against Bisping.

Yoel Romero was innocent the whole time regarding the tainted supplement fiasco.

Just took the 6 months to appease the MMA fans on the Internet who seem to have something against really fit muscled guys, any time they see an athletes vein they scream about steroids lmfao. must be all the skinny guys in the gym who can't bench more than a plate.

6 months suspension is not begging on their knees. Quit trolling.

He had a PED specialist lawyer that was able to claim plausible deniability because the sup had the drug in it. Who can say positively that he did not know it was in there? A lot of these dodgy sup companies have roots in gyms so are not that far removed from the athletes themselves.

It is possible he didn't know what was in the sup but as anyone that has been on ibutamoren for any amount of time; you know you are on something. There is no way a normally fit person does not know they are on something when taking ibutamoren.

Like I said, it's unreasonable hate.

I keep saying that all you have to do is look at all the fan favorite fighters and that they, too, countless of times grabbed, poked, and acted dirty in the fights, yet Yoel is the guy who is noted for doing it? Even cases where people test positive for steroids, legitimately at that, like Mir or Barnett or Brock, but Yoel is the guy who is noted and constantly called a cheater for a result that was cleared with USADA apologizing?

It's worthless to argue with stupidity, they will still say he is a cheater and that he gasses and that his wins are flukes. What's the point at this stage?

A 200lb pro MMA fighter who trains 2x3 hour sessions per day, burns off circa 500-600 calories per hour, plus a 40-45 calories per kg of bodyweight per day, needs 7000 calories per day intake just to maintain bodyweight. With a basic 35% protein intake, that equates to 600+ grams of protein per day, just to maintain muscle mass (not including any legal supplements to stop muscle depletion)

Now i'm not saying everyone is on steroids....

Naw.. still a cheater. Good fighter, but uses dirty tactics to recover and replenish that gas tank.

And the people you also accused of being "users".. come on man.. Rockhold? Cormier?? Please.
