Reebok is tanking

You guys are all fucking goofs, let me tell you, the Reebok deal is an absolute home run for everyone. They are one of the biggest athletic brands, neck and neck with Nike. I'm telling you this deal is absolutely great for them, the fighters fucking love it, they no longer have to find their own sponsors. Grand slam all around you fucking goofs, if you guys don't think that you just don't understand the sport of MMA.

Hi Dana.

Two percent of the market share for something like sportswear is enormous. Most apparel companies would kill for a percentage that high.

For comparison, about 12 years ago Suzuki set itself a goal for their cars to occupy 1% of the US market. 1% of one country. They reached it, but have since stopped selling cars in the U.S.

I'm shocked. They have such great marketing. They aren't afraid to "go there".

Edit: Yes, this was a real Reebok marketing campaign. Not a photoshop.

The person who came up with this needs to be punched in the face repeatedly. Wow.

Not surprised. The only people I ever see wearing Reebok are old (usually older women) and/or homeless people. The brand is about as "cool" as Ebola.

Maybe Condom depot shorts will be back in 2017

That's crazy talk, Reebok's "Talkin Krazy" shoe was top notch both in quality *and* design. I mean a shoe that you can write things on with a dry erase marker?

I remember back in the day, late 80's early 90's, the two biggest shoe brands were Nike and Reebok. Then you had the L.A. Gear, British Knights and many other crappie knock offs. Ahh those were the times.

Reebok is only for the US we in Europe have their real brand called Adidas.

The person who came up with this needs to be punched in the face repeatedly. Wow.

It was created by a Crossfit-obsessed woman in Reebok's marketing department who was trying to suggest something to her attached coworker she's been lusting after for years.

I thought Reebok was 'thanking' someone, but in Conor's accent.

It's bad when you wish a whole company goes under just so we can get rid of these horrendous fight kits. But I do.

I'm surprised no one has caught that the 2% figure represents where they stood as of February 2015. It seems they've really made a push this past year, so it's be interesting to see where they stand currently.

I hope they won't tank yet... i still want to get one of those reebok iverson answer 1.

2 million viewers, multiple broadcast deals, multiple apparel deals, multiple licensing deals, averaging 650k ppv at 65 dollars a piece once to twice a month, doing multi million dollar gates, fight pass has millions of subscribers at 10 dollars a month each.

The UFC hasn't peaked at all. There is more talent in the UFC than ever before. Guys from the Pride era, all things being equal, would get decimated in their prime by guys in their prime now. The sport has evolved to the extent that guys are becoming expert strikers in addition to wrestling and grappling.

To say that MMA or the UFC have peaked, while the UFC has bringing in record revenue is fucking laughable and not even worthy of response, let alone the lengthy response I have given here... so I'll be going now.

As if people didn't know how to fight or cross train 10-15 years ago?
The rules have retarded the sport nowadays. You have no idea what you are talking about.
