Media Redditor asks Paddy about his friendship with Molly

Christianity, during the Spanish inquisition, was also infamous for that fact ; I think it's just how humans are when they're given too much power...
Overall I agree, although I would add that power can be consented to - even when it is seemingly absolute power -, so there are different forms of power, and some of what we call "Authoritarian" might be considered "Harmony" by say a Chinese person, and the term "tyranny" has historically sometimes meant a strong leader who fights Oligarchy and usery like the great Caesar did before his assassination (taking that last factoid from an interview I watched with the economist Michael Hudson about his new book, so take with a grain of salt I suppose ha).

Totally. Sometimes, I feel that I know things about a wide variety of subjects, then I realize I know nothing. I comfort myself with the words of Socrates : if you know that you know nothing, then you know everything there's to know (rough translation).
I like that quote a lot, gonna have to keep that in the back of my dome for reassurance :)
I actually tried to sign up for philosophy studies at the university for the next year, but it became such a mess. The fact that I'm working a full time job (like, my real job, not just an alimentary job I can ditch if it becomes annoying) complicates the matter as I wouldn't be able to attend most of the classes in person.
Philosophy is becoming important to me, because I'm an atheist, and I totally realize that religion and spirituality generally speaking are filling a void in people, I can feel that, but I'm totally unable, and unwilling to take that road. Therefore my only solution seems to be Philosophy, which is actually what made me first interested in ancient Greece. While outdated, or more precisely, aimed to people living 2500 years ago, it's still a gold mine of wisdom, and, IMO, it's absolutely necessary to study those early philosophers to, then, follow the same road philosophers took throughout the centuries.
Ugh I definitely feel that, I had a similiar experience with school but less so because of work and more so because I honestly dont care for the structure of school, i find it alienating. This will sound pompous but sense I was a delinquent in High School I had to start at the lower Community College level and honestly the subjects I was interested in bored me in school because you have to start out with the basics, and I already knew the basics lol.

I too believe philosophy - especially material philosophy - is what can truly illuminate us from darkness. I do not believe people are born human, I believe one has to become human. I do not mean to say man is born as a blank slate, on the contrary, I think ones enlightment has to overcome ones primordial darkness. And to be clear I mean that in a secular sense, for I am secular too(I am deeply influenced by Plato, Thomas Paine and Marx) . I actually have an outweighed interest in Islam because of how much I changed as a man when my view of the second American war on the people of Iraq was flipped on its head, and I wanted to try and understand a part of the world that "my" country had so clearly wronged.

And you are definitely correct about classical philosophy in my opinion, I've only read Plato but I think he has as much to teach us as Thomas Jefferson, Adam Smith, Marx, Freud and so on.
And of course Greece and Athens were the heart of Democracy and most importantly the concept of a polity generally and the Roman Empire - especially Christian Rome - was arguably the progenitor of what would become Imperialism and geopolitics. Superstition cannot save us, we must learn from the great teachers of secularism and enlightment that existed in the past and view the world as it is. Even with all its bloodshed and all its horror (Colonialism, Total War, Ecocide, Alienation etc.), there is no churning back from Modernity.
So what is to be done?
So do I ! In a totally manly way, and... oh who cares, I can't see any male witness anyway lmao
Yes this is a safe space ;):D

So the person who asked the question is no hotshot FBI profiler then…..

That redditor should have informed Paddy regarding Molly that the FDA just recently approved a new medication for lesbians with depression, it's called tricoxagan

Fking liberal haven. Anything that isn’t woke or pc gets down voted to death. Don’t get me started on the pansy mods who ban u for speaking your opinion. Glad I got banned from there.
You obviously did something beyond stupid to get banned. Reddit is still widely known as a hangout spot for the far right wing, and incel groups. Nothing pc about either of those groups

First time finding out she's a lesbian too. Chances are almost nobody on Sherdog follows her enough to even know. When they were being shown together for months on end I legitimately thought were they pulling a Holly Holm/Jon Jones

My bad Sherbros

it's very obviously the truth of what happened. They were inseparable, until she started riding his coattails and stepping on his media time, making it harder for the UFC to promote him as a star by himself, so they go from giving her jobbers to beat up on UK cards to giving her a future champ she had a 0% chance to beat. They obviously buried her to get her away from Paddy, they'll never fight on a card together again.
Or the promotion wanted to milk the Paddy connection for a fighter they've had on the roster for 4 years at that point with a limited fan base and saw an immediate boost to popularity when fans saw them interacting.

This the first fight for either of them this year and I'm pretty sure Molly couldn't afford to wait on her buddy much longer.

Lol I can tell u r one of them. I literally posted a post related to the sub that wasn’t considered sub related. That should not be ban worthy. Gtfo here go hang out with your incel buddies.

UFC deliberately separated them after drunk Molly kept taking over his interviews and media post fight. They made sure to get Molly on a card by herself and buried her vs a nightmare style matchup in Erin Blanchfield.

They will make sure they never share a card again because UFC is just pushing him as a solo act and not with a loud lesbian sidekick. So whether or not he has cooled off on their friendship deliberately, the UFC made the call for him and yanked her off the Paddy marketing train.
If they're deliberately separating them, then why is Paddy doing media at an event that she's co-headlining?

Sounds more like Paddy had an injury that was keeping him out of action, and you've made up the rest.

because they have to keep him in the public eye for promotional purposes, you can't have someone you're promoting as a big star just disappear for a year+ after losing to a jobber, but notice they did not to media together despite being in the same building, just proves my point. In the past they did all their interviews together and UFC hated it because Paddy is the one they're pushing, Molly is just the one they throw on UK cards to have another known UK fighter the fans can cheer for. Nothing I said is made up, it's obvious logical deduction.
