Does every GSP thread have to be about his lack of finishing?
How is he harder to beat than Jones? Someone who has actually never been beaten.
Anyway...
Was there ever any talk about rds won before Georges startet winning most of his fights by decision?
if i did, what did you mean by posting amount of rounds won. there was another poster who posted stats and the fact that gsp won so many rounds. that is not a good record imo. it just means that gsp took longer to win than silva, and that he needed a 3rd party to agree with him. there is no dispute that gsp won those fights, but the fact that one or 2 bad judges could've seen a different fight, there is a chance he could lose.

C'mon man, it's Sherdog! Even though he's beaten every man he's fought, convincingly, he can't be great because he doesn't have the finish ratio they want.
But his opponents are impossible to finish.

Winning rounds is MUCH more impressive than a quick finish.
Lets look at GSP Vs Serra I and boetsch vs okami. Both of the winners were inferior fighters, but won because their opponents got caught.
Now I'm not saying Anderson Silva only wins because he catches people, because that would be stupid. But if he didn't rock Hendo, it's quite possible that Hendo could have grinded him out for the remaining 4 rounds.
I know it's not that simple, but if silva can't knock his opponent out, there's a good chance he won't win. If GSP doesn't finish his opponent, it doesn't matter, because they were never in a fight with him to begin with
Don't act like Silva couldn't have dragged Griffin, Franklin, Leben, Hendo, Bonnar, Okami to a boring buy dominant decision.
Yawn...
Don't buy his fights then..
I disagree, I think GSP embarrasses his opponents much more. If I was chael, Henderson, or lutter, I wouldn't feel as bad, because had things gone differently that night, they might have won. Believe it or not, not all rematches end up like the first fight, so there's a chance a rematch would end different.
GSP however completely outclassed his opponents in every aspect of the sport, most of his opponents are never even in the fight, and would have no chance in a rematch.
Just how I feel about it.
I will definitely say that IMHO the fighters GSP has fought were tougher opponents than the fighters Anderson Silva has defended against. Not saying if Fitch fought Vitor he'd win, so if you understand where I'm coming from keep following.
GSP technically hasn't FINISHED anyone since regaining the strap from Matt Serra, no one was finished in the Penn rematch. The reality is GSP isn't fighting guys that get finished to begin with. How many guys have finished Fitch, Kos, Thiago Alves, Dan Hardy, Jake Shields, BJ Penn, Condit? Not very many if any at all.
I've honestly only found a few GSP fights BORING, but in retrospect I look at Anderson Silva's fights with Thales Leites, Maia, and Cote as some really really boring fucking fights. None of GSP's fights other than MAYYYYYBE the Shields fight would fall into those categories. These "fans" chirping the same shit others say "It's a jab-takedown fest" don't realize that the way GSP does that style is beyond the likes of Fitch, Chael Sonnen, Ben Askren, these fuckers who 90% of the time have boring as fuck fights. GSP is just so impressive, doesn't matter if he finishes a guy, he's never been a KO artist, especially when the talent doesn't get knocked out to begin with.
