Really shows how much size makes a difference when the fighters are below 200lbs

first of all with last nights fight Lee proved that his cardio sucks with or without the weight cut. 2nd of all RDA scored the first and the more takedowns of the fight. meaning he won most of the wrestling/grappling exchanges. kevin lee has inferior technique and relies too much on raw power. technique > power.
Lee won the first round and arguably the second. It was a competitive fight. And yeah his gas tank is a glaring weakness everyone knows that at this point

Maybe cause Lee doesnt have Usman/Colby cardio and is also the inferior wrestler.

How many featherweights are bigger than Max? How many lightweights are bigger than Khabib? How many welterweights are bigger than Usman?
They should call this the Ultimate Weight Cutting Competition.
i thought thats what it was called.

0 damage landed. he won the first and arguably the second but it was obvious he was going to get finished and lose badly. especially that he was failing takedowns attempts and then he got TAKENDOWN HIMSELF. lol... hes technically inferior wrestler. he couldnt takedown RDA even when completely fresh cause he uses inferior technique and just brute strength. hes going to lose to every guy who he cant physically bully.

That’s completely untrue. He actually has very good technique. He made some great takedown attempts including the final one. You’re stealing from RDA’s accomplishment last night by claiming Lee doesn’t have technique. Lee looked great for a while, RDA was just better

At least you told below 200+ there is a size advantage. There are some who were telling to create new 265+ division to protect HW's.Carwin & Brock lol.

RDA put on a clinic against 5'11 Robbie but lost to 5'11 Colby

Yes, it's the size that is the difference. Can't be stylistic match ups and differing skill sets.

Also beat 6'3 Neil Magny
size plays more of a role in grappling than it does in striking

this is completely true actually. everytime he came up vs someone with some TDDs he failed hard. he scored 1 out of 4 tds in the first round. RDA scored 1 out of 2. he spends 2-3 mins trying to grab a double leg on the cage... telegraphing never works. compare him to khabib, askren, usman.. he has no trips no over/under takedowns no single legs. he either gets a blast double or pushes you to the cage and ALSO works for the double. hes a one dimensional predictable wrestler (only has a double leg) who relies on power too much.

Lol at half an inch and a couple of pounds "size" advantages

RDA is a tweener. When they talk about doing a 165, he’s one of the few guys that it would really benefit. Lee is also. Both of them suffer to much from the weight cut but give up to much strength at WW
too*

While Max is brought up, he's also a good example. Goes up to 155 and gets the shit beaten out of him by a shorter yet bigger guy. Dustin wasn't even that much bigger than him, that's the kicker. I really think the UFC needs more divisions.
Shit kicked out of him? Max did better than Justin, Pettis, and Eddie. True lws

Lee vs RDA, didn't seem like RDA had any trouble at all defending Lee's takedowns. He even got caught with his back taken and escaped handily (obviously helps that he's incredible with his escapes)

Goes up against larger guy in Usman, and gets completely overpowered and bullied. He was doing well defending Usman's takedowns early in the fight but when it came down to it he's just too small to fight someone those large and powerful 170'ers.

Below 200 lbs because at HW, the bigger guy doesn't always win and only in extreme examples does a size advantage play a role (lesnar vs couture for example).
Usman also has cardio

Um, you do understand that Marty also dwarfs Woodley, right?

View attachment 584839

Marty is easily THE biggest WW right now. It is a size (and strength) issue.
Even gsp dwarfed woodley.

Him saying he wanted to come to 85 and fight George right before the bisping fight and gsp towering over him and looking like a silverback Gorrila in size comparison was quite funny.

Height alone does not indicate size.
