I think the best women fighters in the world are unattractive and manly women, it's hard to find a pretty woman with the same drive to beat them. Hell even male fighters can be pretty ugly as well. But most tune in for women's looks. The positive I see in wmma is that if one girl comes in like female Anderson Silva, she will be a huge superstar and look unbeatable. So there is huge star potential in weak divisions.

Possibly - it's so hard to trust data nowadays. One correction - that 44% is actually combining data from boxing and MMA.

That said - I think some of my argument still holds true that even a lot of female fans prefer watching men's MMA. Just a guess from the women I know that are into mma. Could be completely wrong

I honestly do believe the WMMA stars are marketable/popular as the male stars. I would honestly argue Joanna is just as if not more popular than Yoel Romero

But I don't think Twitter followers or views on a video necessarily mean more fight interest.. what does JJ's twitter and that weigh in video have in common? Pictures of JJ... that's what social media is about.

I will say that JJ is one of a handful of WMMA stars that might be marketable at least when she was champion

The UFC is looking for attractive women that can fight, end of story. If your attractive and semi-coordinated, like Ostovich, then you get a chance. If a girl isn't attractive then she better be able to fight. I dislike everything about WMMA and have voiced that many times but I have no problem with WMMA fighters luring dummies, I mean fans, via IG or whatever. The mere fact that WMMA still exists means that my opinion must be in the minority with respect to the value of WMMA, so be it.

I think Dana more so than most fully understands that hot chicks fighting have much better opportunities than getting punched in the face for a living once they get a little lime light shined on them. I'm sure he'd rather have them go make movies or model over doing only fans or porn or whatever shit along those lines. All gives the UFC brand more free exposure.

They seem to also pay women more than their male counterparts climbing the ladder. Top 10 money seems to be more similar.

I doubt Dana's losing much sleep over OnlyFans, how many of the current roster have accounts, maybe 5. If you look at Gadelha's account - you can't see any pics but you can see the likes and its averaging 50 a post. Her IG average is more like 50k per post, so a tiny proportion of her fans are paying up. Doubtful if she's making anywhere near her Reebok pocket money.
