RDA vs. Robbie Lawler wouldn't be a superfight either. This is getting silly.

I realize that the definition of "superfight" is subjective but having new champions moving around to fight each other without beating the top guys in their divisions is really stupid IMO. I have no interest in an alleged superfight between RDA and Lawler. For that matter I have no interest in seeing Nate Diaz fight Lawler either because Nate isn't currently a top 5 WW. Everyone needs to stay in their divisions until they have beaten the best guys and have no good options left. Conor needs to beat Frankie, and rematch Aldo bare minimum. RDA has multiple good fights to take especially a rematch against Khabib. Until he does that I find him moving up to fight Lawler just as stupid as Conor moving up to fight RDA. We all know that Robbie is awesome but him doing any super fight right now is hilarious. He has a lot of work to do.

I am NOT against super fights, just make them when they make more sense. Not with guys who have no title defenses or some obvious good fights left in their division. If Might Mouse wins his next fight HE needs to move up to challenge Cruz IMO. That guy deserves it.

Edit: MM VS. Cruz wouldn't really be an actual superfight either from my perspective but it would probably make more sense than the others and MM actually deserves it.

seems reasonable. agree RE Mighty Mouse too. arguably Bones also if he beats Cormier and maybe Rumble and A.N. other (and stays off the sniff! :D)

People have to want to see it for it to be a superfight.

IMO people should save the talk about moving around in weight classes for fighters that have cleaned out their current division.

GSP should have moved up to face anderson. jones should try HW. guys like RDA or mcgregor should defend a few times before the discussion even starts.

haha. I actually just came back to amend what I wrote. I was focusing on Mighty Mouse when I wrote that because he deserves a shot at moving weight classes. Cruz has more to do at that weight class but I wouldn't be against MM getting a shot if it makes sense at the time. I might not call it a super fight but it would sure as hell be closer than the other ones that I mentioned.

Bravo sir. Couldn't have said it better myself. MM first two division simultaneous champ. But to tell the truth after MM beats Cejudo I wouldn't be surprised if the UFC scraps the 125 div.

#Hespect for the correction.

That being said, MM is lucky he's still on the main cards lol... There is literally NO market for him. The dude could fight Conor McGregor and fans still wouldn't tune in :D

Besides El Domin8or would ragdoll him and send him to take refuge back in the made up FLW division... Again.

Jones has yet to fight ranked #2 Johnson or rematch the man who many thought beat him in ranked #3 Gus? Only then should he move up.

Superfights while there are still opponents in one's own division are stupid. Still would love to see Bones fight at HW.

he beat gus once, even if it was controversial it was a close fight. a win's a win.

the point is though that he's already done enough for the talk to at least start about HW (as it has). his streak at LHW is almost ridiculous: bader, shogun, rampage, machida, rashad, vitor, gus, DC etc.

vs. a guy who captures a belt at FW and immediately starts talking LW / WW.

I kind of disagree with you.
Both Robbie and RDA beat the top of their divisions already, a thing Conor did not.
Yes, there's Khabib, but I wouldn't hold the division on a guy who's been out hurt for the past two years.

IMHO RDA and Robbie are the most brutal champions, and I would LOVE to see them scrap! Way more than Robbie versus any other undeserving WW. GSP included!

Robbie and RDA both of very good fights left in their divsions. Hell Robbie still needs to rematch Condit since that fight was extremely controversial. Then Robbie might have to face Wonderboy. Khabib is healthy right now and getting ready to fight so we can't discount him due to injuries just yet. Eddie Alvarez is also ready for his shot.

No, definitely NOT Condit.
Hell, he did not deserve the previous title shot in the first place!
He lost because he rather dance than fight! Blame it on his new style of fighting. A lot of volume but absolutely no effectiveness.
If anything, he could fight the waterboy to get a deserving title shot this time around.

I agree on Khabib, but he is fighting next month, so he won't be ready in time for 200. He can perfectly wait until after RDA fights Lawler.

Migbty Mouse (post Cejudo) and Jones are the only two that should be allowed to do a super fight.

Dana used to tell the fighters that they need to clean out their division first before focusing on that... I miss when he had that mindset.

We are definitely not going to agree on this.

Edit: Not sure what fight you watched

If they want RDA to defend his title at 200 then they shouldn't have tied up the deserving contenders. Eddie Alvarez would be a good choice if he is available. RDA fighting Lawler is retarded.

I am not the only one who saw that way...
the judges (and a lot of people) saw the same.
But I am good in agree to disagree.

but you have no say in the fact he did not deserve his first title shot.
Awarding a second because YOU THINK that fight was close is stupid.
If anything, in terms of epicness, Rory was much bigger war.
if (apparently) deserving has no say in it, I would rather have the better fighter fighting Robbie.

That's the point I am trying to make.
They did NOT want RDA to defend his belt. They wanted Conor to fight him.
I don't think eddie deserve the shot. Who did he beat?
a Win over Pettis (coming of another loss to RDA).
a Win over Melendez (coming off a loss to Pettis).
and a loss to Cowboy who was destroyed by RDA twice...

So I disagree he should be a lock for a title shot right now.

if anything, this opens up a huge opportunity for RDA & Robbie.

It'll be very rare for two divisional champs to have cleared out their divisions at the same time in order to meet TS's criteria for a superfight. GSP and Anderson might bhave been the only time it happens in 20 years. So then what?
