Olivera beats Gaethje. Most likely.

Olivera gives Conor the title shot as it's already been suggested by Dana.

Islam and Khabib get mad cause they think Islam's title shot after Olivera v Gaethje is set in stone.

Dana says no. Islam and Khabib threaten to leave if Islam doesn't get the shot.

Dana doesn't budge. Islam leaves.

This is a made up scenario ofc, doesn't mean it will happen. But I have a gut feeling it will.

This scenario is extremely unlikely. Highly doubt it. Islam will fight the winner of Oliviera/Gaethje. I'd put Conor getting the next title shot over Islam at 5% tops and Islam getting upset about it, requesting his release and the UFC granting it at 0%

damn it, this is also something I'd go to war for lol. A social media war that is. I haven't been that excited for a fight in a while and this was one that literally got me antsy. While we know RDA does poorly against wrestlers it still wouldve gave us what we wanted, which is a true top 5 level test.

This was going to be Islam's hardest fight by a mile, rda a proven contender trained to beat Islam in multiple camps, he's in camp now, has gone the distance with elite ww grapplers.
So yes a true #1 contender fight would have been better then him fighting someone unranked and uninteresting.

You sound silly "rda could die" because Islam bested short notice green and hooker, with full camps neither of them compare to rda.

I think you're very wrong. Conor will get the shot before Islam does if Olivera beats Gaethje. Dana just confirmed it. If Olivera wants Conor, he gets Conor.

So if Conor is healthy and Olivera is still champ, Makachev will have to wait.

I also think, that Gaethje would pick Conor over Makachev as well. It's an easier fight cause Conor is rusty as hell, and he gets waaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaay more money.

I think Makachev is fucked no matter who wins. He has to wait till next year, or fight in the meantime.

Good but not elite. I think it's fair to say Usman, Colby and even Chiesa would be considered a level above all those guys and Fighter Kevin Lee as well. You could throw Guida in there as his resume is filled with him out wrestling plenty of people.

Because like it or not, Moicano has had a wholly unspectacular run so far. Not much of a personality to latch on to, good fighter but falls to the top guys, Not the most exciting but not the worst. Honestly He's fine but going from a guy with hype like Fiziev, and tons of bigger names publically wanting it, plumping for the guy who got knocked out by the guy he's replacing it pretty weak.

Who gives a flying fuck about personality? You run miss world or something? Moicano has had spectacular performances. And everytime he loses, it's in spectacular fashion. Yeah he only loses to the top guys as you said, so if RDA fucks him up, hes a top guy right? That means hes worth my of his ranking.

This isn't the best matchup but i like it. It's a backup fight that actually serves some purpose.
