Who are you guys taking and how?

Right now I am leaning towards RDA by Decision but by fight night I might change this 100 times

My money is on RDA via decision, but i would never count Alvarez out, he is tough as old boots & won't back down.

I don't think we should count Alvarez out. Just a feeling.

¯\_(ツ)_/¯

I really like both fighters, but I cant pick against RDA at this point.

Going to go with Alvarez. RDA is the safer bet, but I think Alvarez has been working up to this his entire career and is going to do everything he can to seize the opportunity. He's going to channel his inner Bisping and get the win.

You guys are joking, right? Current RDS by total annihilation within 2 minutes!!!

RDA has better striking but he won't be able to bully Alvarez w/ wrestling and probably gets taken down himself. In the end toughness is what matters..

RDA, despite being on a hot streak is overrated as fuck here.

I need to disagree here. He has become a monster since joined KingsMMA and started working with Nick Curson on his physique. It is a fully evident transformation right before your eyes.
RDA will kill Alvarez quickly or at the very least it will be a prolonged one-sided beatdown.

That's what people said about Werdum a month ago. Dude got knocked the fuck out in the first round. Of course they are not the same fighter but people tend to idolize some fighters as far as making them seem unbeatable just like McGregor used to be before his whooping. Don't get me wrong RDA is a beast and has been on a good run but it will be either Alvarez or Nurmagomedov who dethrones him. Alvarez has the wrestling advantage and hes tough as they come. RDA has been knocked out before and Eddie has some good power in his hands so never know. I still think that Eddie is going to KO RDA. I just feel it like i felt Stipe knocking out Werdum.

RDA via destruction or Alvarez via "boring as hell" decision.

rda by anything. rda is looking his best ever. eddie is not. I feel like even if both show up 100% healthy and prepared that eddie doesn't have really anything for him and would still lose a competitivish decision

the RDA we saw in his last fights will make Alvarez look obsolete.

Werdum fought as dumb as it gets. Period. Provided he had some fresh ideas in that fight with Stipe, he would have won. But he was very stupid that night.
Secondly -- Alvarez's KO power is overrated. He never KO'ed Michael Chandler -- his main rival in Bellator, let alone never had him in any very serious trouble and arguably lost both fights to him.
Between M.Chandler and RDA I favor RDA by a great margin. This is just the next level performance. Alvarez will not be able to control RDA with his wrestling, he is not as strong and doesn't have that enormous torque.
Speaking about McGregor - he has some good boxing and a long tongue. He utilized both extremely well, got lucky a bit until Diaz happened to him - that is all that contributed to his overall success.

You have some valid points there but i still smell an upset. This reminds me of Thomas Almeida vs. Garbrandt a little bit (where i predicted that Garbrandt will win via KO/TKO) - Anyway, i still cringe when people say stuff such as "RDA by whatever he wants" because it reminds me of what people used to say about Almeida & Werdum.... "Almeida by murder", "Werdum by KO" etc.

The facts are that RDA is overall the better fighter but he won't be able to use all his tools in his arsenal as effectively such as wrestling. In the end he comes from a grappling background not wrestling. I know that wrestling is only one aspect of fighting but then his only option is to either stand and bang or to try to submit Alvarez which will be hard if he cannot get him to the ground. That gives Alvarez a punchers chance and the ability to somehow outstrike RDA + apply wrestling to win a split decision most likely. But i think that he is going to go for the kill. After Bisping knocked out Rocksmug i became a believer in the underdogs.

Please don't compare RDA to Almeida. Almeida fought bums until he got a fight with Pickett. This was the fight where we all saw Almeida's "invincibility mystique" greatly diminished. He was picked apart and then this lucky flying knee happened. I considered Anthony Birchak, his next opponent, as not a big threat. Almeida won that fight, okay.
Then Almeida got a real opponent in face of Cody Garbrandt and faded. He was fading at the weigh-ins already!! Perfect example of how Almeida was and is overrated.
We'll see what happens in RDA fight vs Alvarez, but so far I don't see Alvarez as a threat to RDA anywhere the fight goes.
I envision RDA fight can be not so good for Alvarez's health.
