RDA tested positive for COVID-19, they weren't going to let him in the UAE for UFC 254, that doesn't count as pulling out of a fight.

The fight was rebooked UFC Fight Night 183 on November 14th 2020. Islam pulled out with an undisclosed injury 6 days before the fight.

RDA pulled out of their scheduled UFC 267 bout over a month prior due to a disclosed injury for which he had to have surgery.

They have both pulled out once, you can judge for yourself whose pullout was more legitimate.
 
RDA shouldn't be jealous of Islam, he already has legacy of his own.

There isn’t one pull out that was more legitimate than the other. RDA pulled out twice, Islam once and that’s it.
 
Sucks that Islam pulled out 3-4 times, really wanted to see this fight

Yes and No. Having Covid and them not letting you in the country I wouldn't consider "pulling out" (Pulling out is usually the fighters optional choice but in this case it was the countrys choice, RDA didn't give a crap that he had covid).

You are mistaking with khabib tony fight. RDA was supposed to fight Islam on the khabib Gaethje card in Abu Dhabi, in October. Got Covid, pulled out, the fight was rescheduled later then Islam got the mumps. And now RDA again with knee injury

No you are mistaken.

RDA tested positive for Covid-19 2 weeks prior to UFC 254 in October 2020. The fight was cancelled and rescheduled because he was not going to be able to recover and have time to undergo the very strict and lengthy quarantine procedure they had in place at the time.

The fight was rescheduled for 3 weeks after it was originally supposed to take place at UFC Fight Night 182. Islam pulled out of the fight on six days notice.

Then Makhachev/Dos Anjos was shelved but rebooked in summer 2021 to take place at UFC 267 in October 2021. RDA pulled out in September 2021 roughly a month prior to the fight due to a knee injury that he subsequently underwent surgery for.

I don't consider RDA contracting COVID 2 weeks before his fight a pullout.

When you withdraw from a fight, you pull out. Not a knock on RDA or Islam. Just the definition of the word.

Why do you think COVID is different than any other illness or injury as far as pulling out is concerned?

He developed a medical condition that rendered him unable to compete, end of story

Because he wasn't going to be allowed to enter the UAE which was hosting the fight.

So no it was not a pullout because he was never going to be able to make it to the fight.
 
Islam is P4P #1 in UFC in pulling out of fights. He may be on a 15-fight winning streak from beating Moiseses and Horchers, but he is on a 45-fight pulling out streak right now. I feel that eventually Khabib will come out of retirement to schedule a fight with him, but they will both pull out in the end cause they made promises to their uncles.

whether you get covid or get injured you will not make it to the fight
as you will not be fit to fight.
