Rate the KO power of these fighters

hunt, manhoef, vochanchyn abd lebanner, even if his stats aren't great in MMA

For what it's worth, Stipe has said Ngannou was the hardest puncher he's faced, and he's faced Hunt too.
Did hunt actually tag stipe tho? Haven’t watched the fight since it happened since it was boring af

I can see that. My only argument would be that Reem gets KO'd by people like Francis and Chuck. Melvin got starched by Rodney Glunder

lol

Manhoef's glass chin is one of the biggest myths in mma

Dude has been KO'd 3 times in the last 15 years. By Robbie Lawler, Schilling and Carvalho, all legit strikers

Yet being KO'd by Glunder in his 5th pro fight makes him a glass cannon...

Wanderlei was more of a "quickness/explosiveness becomes power" type of deal.

Hendo threw bombs. Period.

Hunt, Ngannou and Lewis basically interchangeable...probably edge to Ngannou just from his Overeem ko

Liddell and Nelson certainly had considerable power but i didn't see them as humongous punchers
Stipe actually has that same Chuck Liddell type power -- not huge punches that can KO people while moving backwards.

I seem to recall Hunt got in some pretty nice shots before he became almost entirely matbound. Especially a bit of a flurry at the end of round 2.

It's funny though, before the Ngannou fight Stipe was downplaying all the Ford Escort talk by talking about how he's faced heavy hitters like Hunt and Nelson. He'd always deflect questions about who hit him hardest by saying "everyone hits hard at heavyweight." But after facing Francis? No hesitation, no hemming & hawing, he names Ngannou.

Stipe is great at using his opponent's momentum against them

Aside from JDS he's probably the best current hw mma boxer? Unless im overlooking someone

Joseph Benavidez. I haven't seen anyone else knock out an opponent with a blow to the torso.
Love bodyshot ko's with the hands. Chad got Cody McKenzie that way.
Pulver had a few good ones too, I believe

It could easily be Ngannou, but you should never based that on a KO win over Alistair Overeem. For example, I bet this punch was harder than Ngannou's on Overeem:

Lewis threw that haymaker from almost a perfect position, unlike Ngannou. My point is chins matter, a lot.
Well had that been Ngannou he would have knocked him out, just like Hunt was able to ko Roy but I don't remember that punch even dazing him. I got Ngannou at number 1, especially the way he can generate so much power from awkward angles

Greatest power irrespective of size, there is only one correct answer and that is Melvin Manhoef...

The guy currently fights at 170 pounds and KO'd a prime Mark Hunt. In fact he has 28 KO's in 30 wins.

If he had a better chin and sub defence he would be literally unstoppable.

What this guy said. Don't hassle the 'hoef.

How has Shane Carwin not been mentioned? Nobody could get out of the first round with that guy.

Young @cigano JDS power level was out of control. Was brilliant

Yeah that's a fucking missile

Overeem chin is pretty shot. Roy might literally have the best chin in mma history

He never had a good chin, so I'm not sure "shot" is the way to describe it.

Prime Arlovski deserves to be in the conversation. Big Country and Rothwell both have all-time great HW chins and Arlovski starched them both.

It was still about 60 fights into his career...not even counting kickboxing

That can't help

Maybe, I would still bet Lewis's punch had more power behind it when it landed, and it even landed from a terrible angle from Nelson's point of view. Nelson just has 100x better chin than Reem, it is known.
The chin factor is 100% reams is garbage while Nelson's was godlike but hes been cracked and its showing now.

He gets my vote. Before his chin finally cracked at age 42 to Sergei Kharitonov, he went through this murders' row of some of the heaviest hitters in MMA history with only a single KO/TKO loss to prime Arlovski:

Hunt
Reem
Black Beast
JDS
Cro Cop
Arlovski
Ben Rothwell
Mitrione 2x
Stipe
DC
Bigfoot
Kongo

I can't recall but he even might've gotten through that gauntlet without even being knocked down other than the obvious Arlovski KO
