Give or take a prelim fight or two, it looks like UFC on FOX 27 in Charlotte, NC is now complete. What do you guys think of this card? I love the Main Event. Jacare vs. Brunson II should be an awesome, high level MW fight. The rest of the card? Eh. OSP vs. Latifi is okay. Bermudez vs. Fili should be fun. Bektic vs. Pepey? Meh. I guess so. The prelims are pretty weak although I'm looking forward to seeing Gillespie back in there & Niko Price always delivers and could be a future top 15 guy despite dropping the first loss of his career to Vicente Luque a few months back. The card is okay. Good not great. If I had to rate this card, I give it a 6.5-7/10. What do you guys think?
 
Feels like a FS1 card and not a Fox card. Probably breaks the lowest ratings record for a Fox card considering there is no lead in NFL game. At the same time it doesn't have to compete against football viewers.

Will watch though.
 
Might go to this one live. They rarely come to Charlotte and it's not that bad of a card.

I had originally heard rumors that Yair Rodriguez vs. Zabit Magomedsharipov was being targeted for this card as Co-Main, but haven't heard anything about it in a couple of weeks, so maybe not. That fight would help the card out greatly.
 
6.5/10. Wish Gillespie had a more interesting opponent, OSP vs Latifi has major stinker potential, Bermudez vs Fili should be fun but shouldn't be anywhere near the main card, also Fili vs Pepey and Bektic vs Bermudez would be much more solid fights. Hopefully they get one more solid fight as a co main or something.
 
Maybe the poor quality of the card has something to do with contract negotiations?

What happened to Weidman vs Jacare?

Definitely feel like Gillespie should have gotten a step up. I liked Gillespie vs. Guida. He's at about that level where he gets a proven veteran and if passes the test, likely gets a top 15. Rinaldi seems like a lateral step if not a step back. He's pretty early on in his MMA career still though so I guess I don't mind it all that much.

Very crappy card on paper. The headliner in particular. 3/10.
 
If the Green/Koch fight was on the main card I would give it a 7. Pretty weak sauce for a Fox card.

Holy fuck UFC doing us a solid and sticking two of the 3 wmma fights on FP so we can skip them all together fuckin rights
