Btw TS my hairline is worse than yours cuz I'm sportin a 5 head and have all kinds of manly testosterone running through my blood.

I finally shaved off my hitler youth cut a couple weeks ago and have been constantly commenting about my balding.

It sucks when you suddenly go from being hip to "just a guy", but I'd rather be that then "a guy obviously hiding his balding".

Btw cut your eyebrow hairs and your beard. Party on.
Why not use finasteride or something to combat it? There's lots of treatments out there to fight hair loss.

I was telling @MikeMcMann I let my hair grow out over winter but now it's time to shave it off, because I prefer it that way. I told him I felt it was receding, because it does.

Is my hairline up to Sherdog standards?

I'm 52, and yes, I'm an ugly bastard. Please be kind. Or not. Be funny, that's better.

Dude your hairline isn’t bad tbh. I’m thinning on top and it’s much worse.

Norwood 2 maybe 3. Curious how crown is?

Mate, for 50, that's a nice dense thick head of hair. Well done lad.

I have my mates I grew up with that started balding crazy young. 1 at 15. Others before 20. Many early 20 years.

Maybe try Rogaine if you care enough. The big 3 if you really care but speak with a doctor. Surely, there's side effects. Overall, you got a better head of hair than most younger men.

Rogaine asap. Watch more plates more dates. Very informative guy and fun.

Balding sucks. Father time is a cold hearted bastard. Lower your stress too. Meditate. Live a healthy lifestyle. Even then it's the luck of genetics.

Funny story. When I was a kid. I moved to a new city. Kids made fun of my hair. Nothing malicious. I had a huge blow out shag as a 13 year old. Fast forward to 2022, I still have a beautiful head of hair. The kids that made fun are Steve Austin bald. Not receding. Not thinning. Gone. Not even tumbleweed.

Karma is a bitch. <Moves>

There's some potential for serious side-effects with any medication. I guess it would depend on your personal perspective on how much you want to keep your hair.

My buddy is on the big 3. He's still balding and it's affected libido. I think balding sucks but psychologically, ED or even low sex drive is not cool. I guess he has to talk to a doctor, weigh up his options, and decide.

The only "normal" cosmetic surgery for men now a days is a hair transplant. I saw a few YouTuber influencers sharing their experiences.

Looks good awful and excruciatingly painful. What people do for their hair. Hair bless! I'm a lucky man and I thank God everyday. Seriously!

Yeah man. I mean, it really came on quick. I’m married with kids so it’s not like I’m crazy upset about it, but I don’t really wanna go bald this early in life. If it gets to the point where it’s super obvious I’ll just buzz it short, but for now I’m holding on. Can definitely tell a difference in the crown area of my head and the rest as far as thickness goes.

How old are you?

Do Rogaine asap. Possibly derma rolling. I hear people get results. No idea personally.

I'm a lifetime bachelor. Thank God I have mine. I'd probably be flying out to Turkey otherwise <45> Seriously! I love my hair game. I would buzz or shave it in a similar situation as you if the time came. I wouldn't George Costanza it. Gone. No tumbleweed.

Try over the counter stuff but speak to a doctor first. Lower your stress. Maybe yoga or meditation.

A young kid told me his buddy lost a loved one. His hair started to bald profusely and he aged like a decade. Maybe more. Stress is a silent killer. Father time is ruthless.

The side effects of finasteride that people are worried about (ED and a particular form of prostate cancer) are extremely rare, but yeah, of course you want to talk to your doctor first.

As for hair transplants, most of the shitty ones you see are FUT treatments done in a chop shop somewhere.

A good FUE treatment from a reputable doctor can create fantastic results. See Machine Gun Kelly for an example of FUE done right.

Look at Elon Musk. He was George Constanza tier bald.

I think machine gun Kelly lost his wearing dresses and jumping through the hoops of his over lords but point taken.

It reminds me of the south park HIV skit with magic Johnson and the cure being MILLIONS AND MILLIONS OF DOLLARS. <45>

The same I suppose is the "cure" here. Money makes it better I guess.

Not sure about the abbreviations or transplants. I saw a article on a poor UK kid who got disfigured for a cheap transplant in turkey. It is no game.

Yeah, I'm not a fan of any of these musicians. I only know MGK because hair loss is something I try to stay up-to-date with.

FUT is when they would cut a strip of skin from the back of the head, (see Joe Rogan's scar on the back of his head for an example), and with FUE they remove the hairs individually (basically) so that it's much less obtrusive, and allows a better spread of donor hairs on the scalp.

Musk has had at least two transplants, one FUT (he has the scar) and one FUE later. The FUE procedure not only looks better, but it is easier to mask with micropigmentation if you have to take a lot of hairs from the donor area. (Micropigmentation is when they basically tattoo to hide the scars from the hair being removed. It can actually also be used to make the hair look denser, especially if you want to sport a buzz cut or shorter hair after the transplant.

EDIT: Logan Paul is another guy who had a really good hair transplant. Hopefully he refers Jake to the same doctor.

36. And I agree about the stress. Baldness doesn’t run in my family but I’ve held high stress jobs since I was 18. Sure that doesn’t help. I agree though, no horseshoe under any circumstances. I’ll just buzz it.

Fuck eh? Rough.

I wouldn't ever make fun of someone bald or balding. Looks like torture. That inability to do something to stop it. Ego death.

Have you did it before or contemplating it?

I saw adam22 talk about it. I saw Mike Logan Paul's buddy did it. Looks tough. I think it's a great option if you can afford it and fund it with a super surgeon.

Thanks for sharing.

The scary part is that, hair is purely aesthetics. It looks nice. The awful part is cardiac artery disease heart attack or stroke.

Maybe get a different job. I am a lifetime bachelor. I date. No kids. Maybe one day. I've saw families rekt destroyed finances, divorce, and poor health the past two years. Mandate experimental drugs or terminated. Complete obliteration of law and order.

Lots of people are career changers. Not better time then the present. Your kids need a father and wife needs a husband.

Good luck and keep me updated.

I’m 6 years away from a full pension. Can’t quit now. Otherwise I used to powerlifting competitively and maintain a healthy lifestyle. I’m in really good shape, but yeah the stress of the workforce may contribute to me thinning up top.

What industry?

Enjoy brother. Try 20min of meditation everyday. Try that you time. I hear alopecia induced by stress heals but prolonged stress makes ot permanent. I don't know why or what? Just what I read or hear.

What's your retirement plan? Tbh I don't think I will ever fully retire. I will have a small business, consult or do something. Keep busy. Sedentary is not good.
