It's not a 10, it's probably not even a 9 but if was really good. I didn't think Usman looked that much worse than their prior fight but Leon came out aggressive and didn't let Usman dictate the pace, invested in the body work early and hurt Usman for it. He shut down the wrestling game way easier and was really evasive. He found a home for that knee when Usman has a tendency to dip as he throws into distance. Leon looked like the best WW in the world to me. It was at least an 8, but have a 9 rocky.
 
Very impressed. Striking was clean as a whistle. Not sure on the stats but he was pretty much landing everything he threw at Usman. Insane accuracy. Hurt him to the body pretty badly with that nasty body kick. Chewed his legs up. Landed that beautiful elbow on the break that he lands on everyone.

His get ups and defensive wrestling were on point too. Pretty much shut Usman down hard on everything he wanted to do.

Yeah, whatever the strike stats were, it's important to note that most of the quality, clean and impactful strikes seemed like they came from Leon. Also Leon is really good at rolling with punches and staying cool under fire. I was very impressed.

I did not think Leon could put in the performance he did tonight vs Usman, I didn't think he was actually this good. I thought he'd have to rely on hurting Usman and a finish most likely. Turns out the guy found a 2nd gear, improved his takedown defense and cardio. This was really impressive.
 
Good performance. I think he was nervous and made some mistakes. But overall it was pretty good, 7/10.

That being said, Usman looked really bad and sloopy. I don't think he's at the top level anymore. Love him and he had a great career but I think he needs to retire. About to be 36
 
Pereira should train with Leon for sprawls. Great fight, like Usman but his style is boring, he got the point in the second round and should have gone balls out but decided to spam takedowns.

I’d have to think about the number but it was clearly very impressive as far as i saw. I think he compromised Usman with the consistency of the body kicks and the leg kicks. Usman showed heart and tenacity but I don’t think he was able to launch effective offense because Leon had him very well scouted and landed substantial strikes.

My take is Usman probably encountered a markedly different physical strength/grappling defense he hadn’t previously dealt with too. Leon not only stifled most of those takedown attempts, he also continually shrugged Usman off in the clinch so he couldn’t do his usual dirty boxing/knees there.
 
I'd have given him a "Very good" if he hadn't had the fouls, so I gave him a "Good."

Usman gonna shit blood later.
 
Usman Martin (fake African) could not get the job done.

and it definitely has impact on the fight, the glove grab and fence grab prevented him from getting taken down twice

he won the fight but let's not rewrite history now
