I've said it for years, but maybe worth a discussion with the Teixeira loss.

Let's do a little revisionist history. I always felt strongly at the time that Rashad could have made a run at 185 after his loss to Jones. The matchups at 185 for him would have been fun to watch. What do you guys think?

At 185 I think he'd lose a lot of striking power and at his age those weight cuts would be murder.

185 won't matter. His speed and athleticism are not what they used to be. He's a fighter past his prime and when he faces guys at or near the top like Glover, theses are the results he'll get regardless of weight.

He's not going to beat the best at MW either. Especially not at this point in his career.

Rashad has a big ass (no homo),I don't think he would make the cut.

Should just retire.

Keep in mind I'm referring to if he dropped to 185 after Bones loss, not now.

Sorry about 180 lapse.

No. What advantage would he have there? Strength? Hardly. He'd also lose his speed advantage.

At the time, Rashad's wrestling was close to Jones (even though he often favors his striking). He could have made some adjustments and prioritized wrestling and top control on many MWs.
