Rashad Evans talks DC/Jones rematch at UFC 197

Rashad has a point. But no one knows Jon's state of mind except Jon. He is a true warrior and one of the best MMA fighters we've ever seen. I think he is training hard and being serious about this fight. He wants his belt back and most of all-he wants to whoop DC again. Jon will be ready.
 
Rashad is still slaty, can't take him to seriously when it comes to Jones.

If anybody's state of mind should be questioned, it DC's.

He gets sent into a rage by everything that Jones says or does, and he actually went to the trouble to appear before the NSAC to have Herb Dean removed from the fight because he let Jones use the same in-fight tactics that he, himself, prefers to employ.

Dude has made a complete ass of himself since the rematch was officially announced.
 
DC is already mentally defeated all Jones needs to do is literally just show up, DC gassed once because he was so frustrated and emotional and nothing has clearly changed where a lot has changed for Jones and he'll be more motivated than ever.

Plus the Rumble fight and Gus fight wasn't good for DC's chin.
 
When I heard him say this, the first thought that popped into my head was: "His recent success in predicting underdogs has gone to his head."

He's over-analytical here. It's such a reach. And the worst part is: he believes Jones will win. I know it. You know it. He knows it. Don't deny it!
 
Rashad also picked Nate over Conor (DC took him too on UFC on Fox strikezone predictions) and Tate over Holm

I believe Rashad is spot on and is not salty like some of you shertards believe he's just stating his opinion like the rest of us here on sherdog.
 
Shad would be better off worrying about his own head, either he lost the desire to fight or he's gotten old. Not the same fighter.
 
Aside from factoring in the layoff potentially affecting Jones, that was kind of a weak breakdown by Rashad. DC is the same fighter he was the last time they fought. His title win over Rumble, and defense against Gus did not showcase his improvement as a fighter. He defeated two fighters who are known to break as the fight goes deep. Jon Jones does not break, not even for pregnant women.

No one can question DC's heart, or his will to win, but he possessed those qualities the first time around, and he lost. Both fighters are in possession of those qualities. This fight will come down to who is more skilled, and DC is simply not as skilled as Jon. He's a great fighter, likely the second best LHW of this era, but Jones is the best.

I think it will be closer fight this time, DC was doing OK fo first 3 rounds against Jones and Jones hadnt fought since then, DC gained a little bit more experience with fighting such tall guy in Gus
 
Don't believe a damn thing about Jones coming from Shad. There's no such thing as Santa either...yea I said it

Glover will finish him i think, Rashad had his chance to make a statement against Bader and UFC should have given OSP to Rashad, imo
