Rashad brought this on himself. Why is he still fighting at 205?

He looked tiny in there and it was obvious Glover could overwhelm him if he got him close to the fence.

Rashad has no place at being at 205 with those monsters, he is short and not as powerful as the top guys. Someone like OSP would make him look like a 155er.


He can cry all he wants but if he did not eat so much he could go to his proper weight class.

In the years that Rashad was on top, he was much better suited to using his speed and wrestling to beat up guys like Forrest, Chuck, and Rampage than he would have been trying to mix it up with Anderson lmao.

Age, injuries and the evolution of the sport have all caught up with him. He's less a candidate for 185 and more like Bellator's wet dream at this point in his career.

I dont think any of that is really the problem. I think he is just done and he is lying to himself if he thinks he's gonna be successful again. All the top guys will demolish him. Bones prolly submits him easily with something he saw on TV, DC will just throw him around the ring, Rumble would literally kill him, etc etc. For his own sake he should really just retire and go on to greener pastures. There's nothing else to prove. He's had an amazing career, he should just hang it up.

It's not his size, he's been competing and excelling at lhw his whole career. DC the current champion is smaller than Rashad! Rashad has just been around for a long time at this point and he is probably pretty worn down both mentally and physically. Also, taking big shots to the face from a guy like Glover won't do anyone any favors...

when we were watching the fight my wife and I were like, damn, these guys had some tough years to get to 36. Obviously my mileage hasn't been as hard as theirs

He's older and slower than before.
He never looked big at 205, but maybe his bones weigh a lot, who knows? He brushed off any idea of MW every time it was brought up.
He's been fighting for a long time, he did great. He's on the decline now and has been for a while. Looked terrible against Lil Nog, that's not going to cut it against top guys.

Honestly, he looked quite small even when he was at walk around weight in Rumble's corner. Rumble had dieted and cut to 205, but he still looked much bigger than Rashad. So again, maybe Rashad has bone density from his power lifting days, I don't know.

Some guys just look small...Machida looked small at LHW, and he still looks small at MW. I have a feeling he'd look small if he somehow made it to 170 too, and would be dwarfed by guys like Hendricks and Rory.
