Not exactly MMA but I do have a complete bootleg tape of that time that Rocky Balboa fought Apollo Creed in the gym. Ding. Ding.
IFC-1 Kombat in Kiev
SameAll Pride events.
They didnt have the finals for the tournament I think. They had to smuggle what they DID film out of there, hiding it from the Mob who wanted the recordings.I read in Jonathon Snowden’s book about that league, there was one event that they didn’t have tapes for I think, presumably not this one? Or it is indeed rare as fuck ha ha
I did the same. It was not an easy thing to do,but I had to purge alot of shit I just wasnt gonna use anymore. Same shit happened in the VHS to DVD switch.I think I had some Pride DVDs a long time ago. I threw most of them out though when I moved. I just don't have a DVD player anymore.
It isn't the end of the world. The fights can be found online but some stuff like the whole show is harder to find.I did the same. It was not an easy thing to do,but I had to purge alot of shit I just wasnt gonna use anymore. Same shit happened in the VHS to DVD switch.
I kept the cool ones like this,w the metal case.It isn't the end of the world. The fights can be found online but some stuff like the whole show is harder to find.

After discovering PRIDE,i'd see every month Sam Goody would stock a new event on DVD at their shops, and like clockwork i was always looking for them and would buy them on sight. What was fuckin stupid was the early UFC dvds were such trash. They didnt even list the entire card on the back of the DVD (PRIDE always did) and they would have this long unskippable intro before you could watch the fights, and sometimes you couldnt even skip rounds. Id still buy them all wether I knew who was fighting on it or not,cos I was that into it.Following MMA use to take alot of time and effort and the excitement of stumbling upon an event in some obscure shop always brought joy. I rember I found UFC 23- 29 at this traveling DVD store that would pop in shopping centres, it was like the Holy Grail of UFC DvDs and virtually impossible to find at time.
I also have a random VHS of Stan the Man vs Maurice Smith. I think it was held in Melbourne.
I've got this still in the plastic as the distributor sent me 2 copiesI kept the cool ones like this,w the metal case.

I've got an autographed New Jack video consisting of a burned dvd and photocopied black and white cover. I got it from the man himself in the 90s, quite proud of that one.None, I was into wrestling back in the day, so I have a bunch of old ECW VHS's instead of cool MMA DVD's![]()
