Stan must always be followed by "The Man'Totally agree. Found some early UFC on DVD from a small stand at a market & bought all at the time.
So envious of the Stan & Mo VHS you have. I picked up the Stan VS Dennis Alexio VHS that Dennis had the broken leg from the kick (Can't believe he was in Kickboxer JCVD). Below is a pic:
Bodog were putting on incredible events for awhile. Costa Rica fights on the beach? we need more of thatI ended up with a double DVD of the Bodog Fight event where Fedor fought Lindland. It was just given to me in my journo days. I doubt it was actually released in stores. I think it was a promotional thing they had.
I went to one of their events, but it was just in New Jersey. Alot of fighters on it went on to do big things later, like Sonnen, Masvidal and Alvarez.Bodog were putting on incredible events for awhile. Costa Rica fights on the beach? we need more of that
Like records (LPs), some people are glad to have a copy with a cover & not just digital rips/copies. It adds to the experience & is nostalgic. Think I'd get more money than selling a hard drive with just data. Each to their own though.DVDs are for grandpas. Get yourself a digital copy u dinosaur.
I imagine the new fangled nowadays coverage of street racing must be so much better than whatever they could film in the 80s and 90sYou dudes have some pretty sweet vintage shit. Only VHS collection I have is old Japanese drifting/street race shit from the 80s and 90s lol surprised I don't have more MMA but I got TONS of boxing in every format from DVD to reel to reel.
Used to sit and just study tape of all of the greats and try to implement the shit that worked for me back in the ammys
Boxing is also great & sounds like you have a excellent collection. I've got very little boxing. I'd be willing to sell some stuff, so still opportunity to get rare MMA around. You dudes have some pretty sweet vintage shit. I have Fightville which is not exactly on everyone's shelves. But other than that my collection has been cut down quite a bit. I've got TUF 7, but I'm sure everyone's got at least one TUF season on their shelf. Mine's signed by Jeremy May. Ironically hated him the most on the season, dude offered to sign my DVD though and that was cool as hell.
