How sick could this fight be? I think it has a decent chance of happening as well. Maybe even sometime this year. I think if both men were to win there next bouts it would make decent sense.

Who takes it and how?

I have not seen Gunner Nelson in a sick fight he is kinda boring to me but that is my opinion, others may have a different opinion and they are welcome to share it . Jorge on the other hand hell ya

If and that's a HUGE IF, Nelson can somehow get past Albert Einstein, Masvidal would be a good fight, I guess. Conversely, if, and more likely when, Tumenov cruises through Nelson, then I'd agree, Tumenov vs Masvidal would make sense.

Nelson probably should move down to 155 or even 45 to be honest. There are more unidimensional strikers for him to style on at those weights.

Masvidal by wrestling and standup domination. I don't think Gunnar even comes close to taking Jorge down. Probably a boring stand up fight between two low volume strikers who like to play it safe I wouldn't be excited for it.

I can imagine Gunnar by decision, I cant really see him submitting Masvidal.

I think Masvidal boxes him up.

Despite having some bad fight IQ, he's arguably one of the most well rounded veterans in the sport today. He's good at everything and still quite athletic.

Gunnar might have an edge on the mat but not by a wide margin, for his part Masvidal is a excellent grappler. The difference on the feet though is pretty substantial.

These guys are probably around the same size, this is a fun fight.

Masvidal - like Tumenov - is a much better striker than Thatch, and also has very underrated wrestling and grappling.

Perhaps they should make the fight soon and JM did submit Michael Chiesa who is a strong grappler so perhaps he could hold his own there too.

not bad TS but I really want to see Gastelum vs Nelson and Masvidal vs Story
