Media Randa Markos' illegal upkick to Luana Pinheiro that led to a DQ + Randa's statement (UPDATE)

Yes, who can tell really? She also went out being carried by her corner. Like I said it was very unfortunate coz I believe she was winning.

This is why this feel kind of strange.

Everyone gets KOed, wakes up, get their senses back and walk away.

But everytime is an illegal blow people are so stunned they need help getting out of the cage. It's obviously that they are overreacting so people won't say they took the easy way out.

But for me it just makes it worst because it's ridiculous to need all this drama.

Dolloway was out on a strecher, Sterling was being held by his cornerman, this chick is being carried out. Just take your win and walk away.

Clearly Pinhiero had ambitions on taking the Oscar for best performance from Aljo at next year's ceremony. Fake af, still was a totally illegal shot and honestly if Markos get's let go after this can't say I'll care much at all. A 10-11-1 record with no wins since mid 2019, can't imagine she'd be missed.

“I remember when Forest Griffin got knocked out by Anderson Silva. Anyone who saw that shot would think there’s no way that knocked him out cold. Silva was on the back foot and it looked like it barely touched Forest’s jaw…. but out he went.

I have seen a delayed KO.

I’ve seen shots where the guy gets hit steps back… looks ok… then drops.”

There are a ton of way’s someone gets knocked out, so to say "well that looked soft to me" is absurd.”

Luana Pinheiro issued a statement.

Relevant part says:
Nobody wanted this victory more than me and nobody feels more than I do for the outcome of the fight. I imagined a thousand possibilities for my arm to end up raised and none of them was the way it ended up happening. But regardless of the outcome not being how I wanted it and how I worked for it, I am happy for all the work I did to get well prepared for the fight.
I will work hard to continue looking for my evolution and bring my best version in the next challenges.
Thanks for everything and let's go, we still have a long way to go

It looked like a straight up dive but I'm willing to give her the benefit of the doubt IF she is diagnosed with a concussion. If the doctors say there is absolutely nothing wrong with her, I think she should be cut immediately.

Since there is no objective way to test for a concussion she could just fake it and be diagnosed with a concussion.

Below is how concussions are generally diagnosed. It’s highly fakeable.
  • Interview to document the extent of any retrograde amnesia (loss of memory of the events immediately before the injury), loss of consciousness, or post-traumatic amnesia (loss of memory of events after the injury). Post-traumatic amnesia is the best indicator of a patient’s prognosis after a concussion, so this step is extremely important.
  • Determination of the range and severity of post-concussion symptoms on the field. There are several standardized scales, the most common of which is the SCAT-2 (Sideline Concussion Assessment Tool). This scale inquires about symptoms, attention, and memory; asks about recent events in the game; and checks balance and coordination.
  • Examination for any neurologic signs or symptoms: Tests of strength, sensation, reflexes, coordination, cranial nerve functions, mental status, and other neurologic functions to determine any serious injury to the brain.

Yup, i think one guy recently milked a body kick/punch that the ref called low, recovered and got the win after, i do remember Koschek's, they played the replay and he got a lot of booing from the crowd, lol.

Usman in the Covington fight.

Usman in the Covington fight.
I'd give him a pass on that one, he wasnt actually hurt and got saved, i mean the kick didnt land hard wether it was to the body or low (it still hit pretty clearly on the shorts) it wasnt that bad or fight changing, imo it was legit low but still pretty light.
