“I saved college money for my two Japanese kids and bail money for Raja and his brother”

lol prison is not one on one.
Hate to say but I think he'll get shanked in prison. First in his rear and then with some object.
What did RVD sayEven Rob Van Dam. A professional wrestler was celebrating Raja “finding a loophole” to beat this guy near death. What a fuckin idiot who I just lost all respect for. Even if I never figured he was an especially thoughtful person.
The veteran angle is neither here nor there. Veterans arent saints by any means, some do good, some commit war crimes and genocide in other peoples countries so its got no bearing on things as far I'm concerned as we don't know what type of veteran he was. This story is blowing up so I bet even people locked up have heard it or will. The fact that he beat down an army veteran may get him targeted by a certain subset of the prison population.
To this day the strangest moment i've ever seen in the octagon.Remember when the ref caught a stray eye-poke from Jon Jones and didn't notice when someone threw a skateboard into the cage, costing Shogun the fight against OSP?

Doubt it will get to trial. Whatever lawyer they hire will probably try to get him to plead down to a lesser offense. Every piece of footage that’s been released so far does nothing but implicate him. Even the argument about the wrestler instigating things is negated by the video clip of him accepting his apology, only to beat him to a pulp a few hours later.
Its like a horror movie, but in reverse.I thought UFC Roster Watch was just a bot.
Turns out he's a real live human, and also a complete moron.
Big John was going to fight in the UFC at one point, but it never panned out for whatever reason.
In a justice system, it shouldn't muddy the waters. But in a legal system (and America's legal system, at that) it might easily be a different story.Again, there's not a jury or judge in the world that would make the leap from "He agreed to participate in a bit that's part of a wrestling show" to "He agreed to be beaten unconscious and then gave consent to allow the other guy to CONTINUE beating him while he was unconscious, putting his life in jeopardy."
There's no muddying of waters at all.
Yeah, it's up there in the "why'd he do that" list. It's almost like his knee got injured at that exact moment and he was reacting to the pain.To this day the strangest moment i've ever seen in the octagon.
Knowing how to defend yourself and not knowing is gonna be a big difference in terms of how often people will approach and try to fuck with you. You guys want to say it doesn't matter, but it definitely does. But yea if he pisses off the wrong people he can get shanked or get a hit put on him either way. No one is untouchable, especially if you're not a shotcaller.lol prison is not one on one.

What subset would that be?This story is blowing up so I bet even people locked up have heard it or will. The fact that he beat down an army veteran may get him targeted by a certain subset of the prison population.
The guards? What subset would that be?

Maybe prisoners who were in the service? I'm curious to hear the answer. The guards?
Ollie defense just wasn't part of camp. Seeing Shogun go out to a kickflip kimura is just devastatingYeah, it's up there in the "why'd he do that" list. It's almost like his knee got injured at that exact moment and he was reacting to the pain.

the footage in the hallways with AJ that could make things really muddy, IMO. A high-priced lawyer might convince a judge (who doesn't know anything about pro-wrestling), "I would have thought the same think as Raja if I was told several times to get payback on him."I think there'd be a chance of that sans all the footage of him showing premeditation. He fucked himself with all that talk.
I get it, there's always the **chance** that you get a random judge that wants to go soft on a lunatic like him. And juries are unpredictable. But the overwhelming likelihood is that the prosecution says to his lawyers "We have irrefutable video evidence of everything and your client is absolutely getting convicted if we go to trial. We will throw you a bone and offer _________ ". In this case with the evidence so overwhelming on the side of the prosecution, the "deal" they offer might not even be a reduction of charges. It could just be a sentencing recommendation that's more appealing to Raj than the time he'd potentially face.
Yeah, and that's because he's not a ref. He's just wearing the shirt. Like I said the first time you quoted me (to tell me you hope I die without having kids first, remember?)
Why are you still disappointed in his inability to do what MMA's refs do?
Do you think the shirts are magic?
What are you actually suggesting he should be expected to do? And why would that be?
