Has anyone mentioned Assault and battery resulting in great bodily harm, or something to that effect anyway?
I think charging him with attempted murder would actually be risky in the sense that he could possibly beat that charge entirely, it complicates the criteria to account tor things like motive, a vague area where things can get tricky due to interpretation.
Assault and battery / GBH on the other hand is a very likely winner with all the evidence they have already.
I know some here "want that animal locked up for good", but whether you agree w that or you disagree isn't really relevant.
I'd prefer that they not attempt to over charge him if that only forces them to prove a higher standard than the lesser charge that is almost guaranteed to bring back a unanimous vote for Guilty
(Full disclosure, I didn't look up either charge so I have no idea what the difference would be in terms of years maximum and minimum)
